I didn't say he promoted it, the term wasn't even fucking coined then. What I was inferring was that jesus based his life on communist/socialisitc principles, giving to the poor, condeming the rich (capitalis) etc.
You can play coy all you want, answer the question. He said to spread the wealth around, quite fucking clearly, maybe you need to re read your bible. I also like how you literally stick to the good book when it's self seving, he never explicitly stated anything about socialism, but hates gays right?
Source for your charitable claim? You go from stating jesus never have an ideology to charity being a right leaning principle, I assume suggesting jesus would be right leaning?
Can you make a guess or do you only abide by what is explicity written in the bible?
You're talking out of both sides of your mouth. So Jesus didn't promote socialism, he just "based his life on communist/socialisitc principles, giving to the poor, condeming the rich (capitalis) etc." lol That's ridiculous.
Communism/socialism isn't about "giving to the poor," it's about taking from the haves, under threat of prison, and giving to the have nots. It's where the government controls the private sector. Jesus didn't say anything about communism or socialism, or communist/socialist "principles."
Jesus didn't hate gays so not sure where that is coming from.
You're pretty good at finding Bible verses, so I'll let you look up the ones where he talks about giving to the poor, or where he actually helps the poor, or where he recommends one rich guy give his money away, etc. Not hard to find. What you will not find is where he recommends that the government force people to take money or possessions from hard working folks to give to others.
No, I don't think Jesus would be "right leaning." I've already answered that question.
My overall view of the Bible is there are commands, guidelines, and suggestions. The commands overall are black and white. Guidelines and suggestions are in a gray area. For instance, the prohibition on murder is clear. The comments by Solomon about alcohol are more of a suggestion IMO. Same with dietary guidelines. But none of it bothers me. It's people like you who get their panties in a bunch over it.
And what always cracks me up is how much time people like you spend reading (cherry picking) a book you don't believe in and talking about an entity you don't believe exists. It's comical.
