I guess it's somewhat impressive that he was able to pack that much legit weight on his tiny frame. Dude was never meant to be big, by ANY measure really, see how tiny his pecs and legs are even at that weight. Arms were oiled up... same with inner pecs and I'm sure more areas I'm forgetting.

Prob cos he was gunning for pro card when there were 2 awarded each year. Look at 91 and 92 nationals and compare to nowadays when mr south eastern 5 states featherweight winner gets a pro card.

Yeah. Flex had said this when he was newly retired, and so think was writing for MD. I think he said something about Dave's muscle quality. But Dave looked like an bad American example of Paco Bautista, his physique just hurts your eyes...you just think "that...that ain't right."

Wide waist and poofed out rib cage are what held him back. When he was at his prime, he had good size everywhere and great conditioning. Then his body clearly started rejecting the drugs and it was a shit show at that point. He did the best thing he could and threw in the towel and down sized big time. I'd say he definitely hit his potential for what he has.
