it's not just the sugar to blame but all high carb food such as rice, wheat, potatoes etc., human body doesn't need such high amounts of carbs we consume today because it can make sufficient amount of glucose that the brain needs from amino acids, without fat and protein in ur diet u will waste away but u can do well without carbs. Not that u have to but u can.
Yes the ''scientists'' back in the day were wrong when giving saturated fat a bad rep, high carb diets or high carb + high fat diets may cause high cholesterol, high triglycerides, high BP - all due to the powerfull nature of insulin. Insulin is so powerfull that it can really fuck u up if u consume lots of carbs. remember the food pyramid from 20 years ago? where the high carb products were at the bottom meaning they should be consumed the most of all food sources? Lol, this is why u have so many obese and diabetic people walking around.
u want to eat healthy? here's the tip:
fats: omega 3 sources, saturated fat from red meat and coconuts, some omega 6 but careful with these and some olive oil
protein: red meat, fish and eggs
carbs: vegetables(especially green leafy ones) and fruits like red fruits, citric fruit, some apples and pineapples here and there
U can say goodbye to gaining weight and bulking up on this regime(naturally of course) but ur body will be grateful
