Phil is average height so he just looks ridiculous next to normal people. Prime Schliercamp is still ridiculous but looks way better because he's taller. Gunter all day would get more ladies and schmoes. Not even a contest.

He beat Ronnie in the fixed GNC tournament where Dexter beat Jay the following year (both 1 week after Olympia, 1st v 5th and 2nd v 3rd I think) before it was stopped because of blatant rigging and competitors hated it.

He looked good in the way I would look good with that size - but he has wide hips and looked shit in back poses beside someone structurally superior like Ronnie. FDB was weak too cos wide waist hurts shape, Ronnie was weak in 02 though.

Nice, marketable guy, but structurally couldn't beat the best back then.

I spoke to a judge from the 2002 Mr.O. He said he didn't have Gunter in the top 15.

Anyone see that Lee Priest video where he talks about his placing at the 1997 Mr.O? Kevin complained back stage about getting 6th and suddenly it changed to 4th. What a joke.

Teutonic good looks that make real world women go all Duncan & Hines at the sight of him.

Fairly well spoken too. It's true the wide hips hurt him in bodybuilding competition but his height, looks and mannerisms would have made him all the more marketable than the likes of that overdone Philsbury Schmoeboy.

His quad sweep and wide shoulders more than compensated for the somewhat wide hips. His height and massiveness really set him apart. It's good to see a bber over six feet able to fill out a tall frame.

I saw him once a Gold's in Redondo Bch, CA when he was still pretty big (no where near his competitive years) and just had a presence. Very alpha looking but very approachable because of his movie star good looks and million dollar smile which seemed to always be present. Very personable and friendly. Other guys just faded away into the backgroud and women literally melted in his presence. It was funny to see these otherwise stuck up twats all giggly, playing with their hair, trying to be cute with vag cream seeping down their leg.

He just seems to dwarf the greatest bber ever and the other one of the best in an insanely competitive era.
