Sorry guys, one final post to shut up the fools that believe these to be arteries. Here is a linky and a pic. Notice on this pic that the arteries of the anterior abdominal wall (including the thorax) are internal and the most external ones are over the ribs. The pic above with the veins actually shows them above the fascia and fat that overlye the rib cage. That is why that dude has veins. The pics do not lie if you can understand them.

I'll start w/ the highest part of the body to illustrate the superficial arteries. "The superficial temporal artery is a major artery of the head. It arises from the external carotid artery when it bifurcates into the superficial temporal artery and maxillary artery.

Its pulse is palpable superior to the zygomatic arch, anterior and superior to the tragus.

The superficial temporal artery is often affected in temporal arteritis and biopsied if the diagnosis is suspected."

Assclown, you cannot be serious. You are bringing up termporal arteritis to make your point. HAHAHAHA. Do you even know what an arteritis is? It is an inflammation of the blood vessels, often arteries and veins. Temporal arteritis looks nothing like the dude that started this thread. It is associated with headaches, blindness, and an elevated ESR (sedimentation rate or test for measuring inflammation). Second, how does this have anything to do with the veins that are grotesque on the chest wall, shoulders and arms of this BB. Those are veins. If a nurse saw it, she would cream herself as it would be the easiest IV ever. Hell, drug addicts would kill for veins like that. I know you are jealous. BTW, I will make it easy on you....VEINS are tortuous like that and arteries generally are straight or curve nicely. They have a muscular media (look it up) and usually do not flow in such a circuitous fashion. Hell, look at the link from my first post and check out the young BB. Those are veins. Better yet, click the linky and it will show you. Alas, another linky that I know you will not understand or appreciate but here goes: Note how temporal arteritis looks nothing like the veins on the BB.
