but i dont want to pay a dollar more for my fries and a dollar more for my milk shake and dollar more for my beer the list goes on

you cant tell a buisness how much they have to pay there employees. u want the gov setting a price to how much u wanna pay someone to cut ur grass? suddenly jobs seem pointless to hire people for them with these crazy ideas

So inflation will just go through the roof and the wage prices will always try and keep up, but still always stay slightly behind because business owners will keep increasing prices while production materials and costs also keep increasing.

Do these 'leaders' not study economics...?

CNN posted a graph comparing min. wage to inflation and since the 30's they've stayed even to where the last decade the min wage falls below inflation. Not sure why they're all settled on $15. Is 16 too much and 14 not enough?

My experience has been that $15/hour is about the number where people feel they're beginning to get ahead and/or lose money by being out on Comp. Obviously, it depends on debt load.

The effects of this is that marginally profitable businesses will go belly up resulting in a loss of jobs. The businesses that don't go out of business will look to maintain profitability by either reducing staff, replacing staff with machines or both.

The biggest loser will be those at the bottom of the economic who need that first job in order to gain experience, those poor underprivileged yutes that liberals supposedly care so much about.

Usually those who advocate for a way above market level minimum wage have never run so much as a hot dog stand and should not be taken seriously.
