Overdose I think.
He was friends with that blond dude who had that infamous pic of him with Ronnie. And that dude kills himself as well, IIRC.

Yes you're absolutely right ...it was Ultimate Orange, thanks.......and you're right about Duchaine...her looked terrible.....Good thing you stopped taking that Ultimate Orange.....sounds like you were headed for a heart attack in the gym....

Also do you remember Duchaine got into some serious trouble with a female bodybuilder who he was a guru to........something about her dying or almost dying due to whatever advise he was giving her in terms of supplements

I don't remember but it wouldn't surprise me one bit. This goof had a habit of recommending too much illegal mess in all the wrong doses. If it didn't do his physique any good, why would it help anyone else?

very true. i also think much has to do with it for me as disposal cameras

prior people used real film and developed it, in the 1990s disposal cameras were the rage and 99% photos turned out shit

in 2004 i remember seeing the 1st camera phone, i mindblown  - take pics of chics on my phone  ??? - at asu at the time :)

I miss the 1980's

for perspective Mike Mentzer lost his mind over the 1980
 Olympia

Though this guy made his name in the mid-80s, I felt he was his best in the early 90s.

The topic was 90s bodybuilding and the WBF was part of it. It also changed the landscape of pro bodybuilding for the better.

Why do you think more guys started getting six-figure contracts, or why the Mr. Olympia prize money went up to $100,000 (despite what Wikipedia says, the Mr. Olympia winner didn't get six figures until 1992 when Dorian Yates won it)?

The first bodybuilding show on PPV came courtesy of the WBF.

Remember the bidding war for Lou Ferrigno? Vince McMahon signed him first. But, Lou bailed once the WBF started drug testing.

As stated earlier, the WBF offered fans the ability to see bodybuilding far more often than once a month on ESPN (American Muscle) at 2 or 3 in the morning.

And much of the stage production you're just NOW seeing over the past few years? The WBF had that over TWENTY YEARS AGO.

Unfortunately, the WBF also showed what happened when you REALLY start drug-testing these guys (as was the case in 1992).

Had Mauro Dipasquale put the IFBB guys under the same protocol, we would have seen dudes that would have made Mike Quinn look  like Rich Gaspari.

Saw a clip on youtube recently that talked about ultimate orange. It said it contained fucking dianabol! That would explain the headaches and why it worked so good  :)

Loved that shit in the 90s.  Used to drink it for breakfast, and then head to the gym.  I'd be cracked out, before I even got to the gym.   :D

yeah I remember Joe Weider freaking out when Lou signed with the WBF..he supposedly jumped on a plane and went to see Lou personally and signed him away from McMahon

I tried Hot Stuff when it first came out. I think the company started in either Orlando or Clearwater, FL. My hometown is St.
Petersburg. They were giving out samples to in the GNC at Tyrone Square Mall. The ads were in black and white on a single sheet of paper with local Florida bodybuilders touting the stuff. In just two years, Hot Stuff was the biggest selling supplement in the country.
.
The company drew heat from the feds, because it referred to Hot Stuff as an “anabolic activator”. So the product was labeled as a “fitness potentiator” instead.

He wouldn’t have gone anywheare if the drug testing hadn’t started. Bodystars was supposed to feature Ferrigno to promote the second championship.

McMahon promoted the WBF during the road to WrestleMania 8. When Big Louie bailed, McMahon used Lex Luger at ‘Mania and on BodyStars to take his place. Then, there was Family Feud week, WWF vs WBF.

Almost forgot the final crossover attempt before the WBF folded, the BodyStar Wars Tug-of-War (The WWF vs. WBF, Part 2)
