This lift works 90% of skeletal muscle. I can accurately predict an athletes 40 yard dash and vertical simply by his trap bar deadlift to weight ratio. The front squat and back squat are not as accurate. The moment I add these in my routine I immediately gain 3-4 pounds of muscle and gain immediate thickness. Guys avoid them because they aren't as hardcore as regular deadlifts, but I've learned to put my ego at the door and for me time is money. I'm not competing in a powerlifting meet any time soon so why would I bother with conventional deadlifts? You can generate more power with trap bar deadlifts compared to a conventional deadlift and use more weight which will translate to more hypertrophy, power, and strength over time. Strongly recommend these fellas, all my back problems have gone away as well.
