You're comparing Colin Kaepernick to a suicide bomber?
You're way out of line Ron on this. The only thing he did was take a knee during the Pledge of Allegiance to protest police brutality. Now you are within your right not to wear Nike anyone....hell a pair of Nike have never touched my feet whatsoever but lets not blow this out of proportion
Vicenzo,
I don't think he was comparing Kaepernick to a suicide bomber, not even in the slightest bit. I think he was simply trying to convey that maybe, just maybe, both suicide bombers and mass shooters might believe in the same creed/slogan that Nike is putting out and possibly see Kaepernick as a posterboy for their movement.
Just to play devil's advocate for a second, doesn't the slogan kind of stand for everything middle eastern terrorists believe in?
"
Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything"
"Believe in terrorist acts, even if it means sacrificing yourself and taking the lives of many innocents" - That doesn't sound as eloquent or as politically correct as Nike's slogan, but can mean similar in the minds of the weak.
Now, I know the parallel might not be obvious to anyone simply reading the slogan, but including Kaepernick as the backdrop adds a little correlation to it. He is kind of like a poster boy for those that are anti-America. Not taking a knee during the pledge of allegiance or national anthem is a hit against
ALL that America stands for. Cops can be ruthless pieces of shit and I despise their particularly savage acts towards minorities, but they certainly don't represent America as a whole.
Kaepernick just seems like an attention whore. Is he related to this woman?
