This is a perfect example of what I was talking about. The video shows the tail end of a situation without providing any context as to what led up to it. I recall another one like this back in the day with the cops roughing up some guy outside a nightclub, but the video didn’t show him first getting kicked out of the club and then being unruly in the parking lot and the staff having to finally call the police.

Usually most of the comments in those threads are by idiot liberal women who would never be cops and if they had to do the job wouldn’t last a day working in one of those neighborhoods dealing with that sort of person. It’s like you said in another thread, liberals are always championing  causes that they’d want nothing to do with in their day-to-day lives.

The comments on Twitter, whether to threads like that or Trump's feed = CNN for nobodies. And endless stream of liberal fanatics frothing at the mouth and high-fiving each other until the page runs out of space for replies. Saddest part is, they think anyone's listening to them. good on nike and colin. what the establishment (and it's useful idiots) can't take is when the likes of colin and co give the little people a voice. when you get  a sht ton of money you are supposed to become one of the club and work to protect it's status quo.

They don’t become the face of a major corporation, they don’t receive numerous awards, and they don’t get support and appraisal from powerful institutions and figures within the media.   

That said, it is unnecessary to have the anthem played before every game to begin with. Sport shouldn't be used to push jingoism.

I don't think he was comparing Kaepernick to a suicide bomber, not even in the slightest bit. I think he was simply trying to convey that maybe, just maybe, both suicide bombers and mass shooters might believe in the same creed/slogan that Nike is putting out and possibly see Kaepernick as a posterboy for their movement.

Just to play devil's advocate for a second, doesn't the slogan kind of stand for everything middle eastern terrorists believe in?

He is kind of like a poster boy for those that are anti-America. Not taking a knee during the pledge of allegiance or national anthem is a hit against ALL that America stands for. Cops can be ruthless pieces of shit and I despise their particularly savage acts towards minorities, but they certainly don't represent America as a whole.

Is Kaepernick just a sports figure? I think he has transcended the idea of that. I think that when you get national coverage and pegged by the president the way he did, you stop being just a guy playing around with pig's skin.

Regarding Kaepernick's protest, as per Trump: “I think it’s a terrible thing. And, you know, maybe he should find a new country that works better for him. Let him try. It won’t happen.”

Trump even called for people that protest during the NFL games to be fired. Terrorists probably appreciate that a guy like Kaepernick gets hate from the president and patriots. Granted, I am not trying to conflate activism with terrorism and/or suggest that Kaepernick is a terrorist, but if a middle eastern terrorist had posters of their favorite US Athletes, I doubt they would pick Pat Tillman over Colin Kaepernick.
