I think it's almost hilarious that Nike wants to align itself with social justice.  Nike was of the first American companies to move its' factories offshore to take advantage of cheap labor, non existent health and safety standards and zero environmental laws, propelling the owners from mere millionaires to billionaires.  While they were signing superstars like Jordan to ten million dollar a year contracts they were paying their workers $2.30 a day under sweat shop conditions and blocking any attempts to unionize the workers.   Their ad campaigns convincing poor black youth that they need $100 Nike's to make it to the big time.  I remember a number of black kids were actually murdered for their Nike's, by other blacks.
Glad to see that Kaepernick will still retain his millionaire status, which in the end is really what it's all about.

You have a point. It's almost like Trump decrying businesses that took their business overseas for better wages and taxes, while having him and his family's clothing line produced overseas. Hard to take either of them serious

Is Kaepernick just a sports figure? I think he has transcended the idea of that. I think that when you get national coverage and pegged by the president the way he did, you stop being just a guy playing around with pig's skin.

Regarding Kaepernick's protest, as per Trump: “I think it’s a terrible thing. And, you know, maybe he should find a new country that works better for him. Let him try. It won’t happen.”

Trump even called for people that protest during the NFL games to be fired. Terrorists probably appreciate that a guy like Kaepernick gets hate from the president and patriots. Granted, I am not trying to conflate activism with terrorism and/or suggest that Kaepernick is a terrorist, but if a middle eastern terrorist had posters of their favorite US Athletes, I doubt they would pick Pat Tillman over Colin Kaepernick.

  None of this changes what the other posters said. This is a massive reach that requires a lot of logical contortion to come to a conclusion that still makes no sense.
