It's a fun toy no doubt, but buying a new car is the worst investment you can make. Depreciates 20% as soon as you drive it off the lot. The novelty wears off quick. Unless you are very wealthy, buy a used car. There are some very nice ones out there.
I have a 2007 Honda Accord. I bought it used in 2010. Not because I couldn't afford a new one, but because I'm a cheap mo-fo. Let someone else eat the depreciation. Since 2010, the total maintenance and repairs has been less than $1500. I use synthetic oil. Haven't had a major problem with it yet. Honda's are great cars.
