I hate winter more than anything but I actually enjoy December.Mainly cause the kids are so excited and people seem in better spirits.

Couple years back I stopped doing holidays, greatest thing (for me) I ever did. My kids are adults now, I did my time.
My Ma lives 1 minute away, inlaws are 15 mins away, we see them all the time, no need to "gather for the holidays".

Wife and kids still go to inlaws for the day, I go to gym, come home and nap and hang w/ the dog.
Its fantastically restful...

If everyone didn’t start so early it wouldn’t be so bad, but I agree I’m sick of it already and I used to love it.

I don't count getting the merchandise departments ready, those may take a while to set up...It's the Christmas Carols, the TV shows, excessive decorations, and...the relatives.

Pagan bullshit holiday.  I stopped celebrating it and ALL so called holidays (even mothers and fathers day) 5 years ago and I've never been more free.

I celebrate Halloween simply because it truly is a pagan holiday- and everybody digs it, haha.

I would do this as well if my family would go along.  Would be very awkward to have family giving me gifts if I didn't reciprocate.  I absolutely hated working for companies that celebrated Christmas by having a gift exchange. ::)

I honor the meaning of the birth of the Nazarene.

I bet in your sick mind the film “Miracle On 34th Street” was originally “Sheit Happen On MLK Blvd.” and the scene with the little Dutch girl hearing Santa speak to her in her native Dutch should’ve been a Detroit black girl adopted by Sandra Bullock hearing who the child knows as SanTre’ deKlauZ speak in Ebonics.

What a racist pig that you are.  Fuck your fantasy Jizzraelites BS.  Your family must be so proud.

How did Chris Rock put it...Welfare Carols?  “It’s the first of the month!”...

Absolutely love Christmas. Had a fun dinner party this weekend and we all drunkingly put up the tree. Looks great and enjoy kicking back at night watching movies looking at the tree. Feels nice.

He's actually right on it being a Pagan holiday.

I already know the melding of some parts of Pagan beliefs with other faiths such as Christianity.  I also know Wiggs is a fucking racist twatling.

The meaning of the birth of the Nazarene is indeed special. In W³ (Wiggs Wacky World), it's all about the beginning of the end of "whitey's reign".

And if you recall, I am now an Atheist.  But that doesn't mean I don't know the difference between someone like the Prince of Peace (the Nazarene) and the Pedophile of Persia (hoMohammed).

I don't hate Christmas, I hate shopping...which has become synonymous with Christmas.

Black Friday later became known in print, after an advertisement was published in The American Philatelist magazine in 1966. By the late 1980s, the term was commonly known across the nation and retailers soon linked it to their post-Thanksgiving sales.

My son-in-law and daughter told me the other day that they want to put up the Christmas decorations. Whew! It is not my favorite thing to do. I welcome their willingness to take it over.
