Deadlifted today. Am I going to die ??? ???

Sometimes you're not very nice to me, but I sincerely hope you don't die doing deadlifts. It would ruin my image of you. Someone told me that you are fat, but I refuse to believe that.

Still going to the gym for now but trying to be cautious... washing my hands more often
and trying not to touch my face lol.

I did however just order some work out equipment at home in case they do close.

Yesterday the gym I train at had about the same number of people. One person was wearing a mask. Does this mean he is sick or he doesn't want to get sick? Hard to tell.

Since the coronavirus is negatively affected by heat. Would spending time in the sauna kill it?

I'd stay out of gyms for now.  Be smart.

Do exercises at home.  Bodyweight or use the equipment you have.

I continue to wonder if contracting the coronavirus as a healthy person is a good idea rather than risk getting it sometime down the road when you aren't as healthy. The comparison being the chicken pox which are much less serious for juveniles than for and adult.

There is a yet unanswered question as to whether you can catch the virus twice.

“If you get an infection, your immune system is revved up against that virus,” Keiji Fukuda, director of Hong Kong University’s School of Public Health, told the Los Angeles Times. “To get reinfected again when you’re in that situation would be quite unusual unless your immune system was not functioning right.”

Seems to me the most important thing is to know if you have the virus. If you do, it is only right that you quarantine yourself to avoid giving it to other people, specially those who are likely to be sicker or even die from it. If you any symptoms of the coronavirus, get tested asap.

Much is being done to try to stop the spread of the virus in Oregon. It was just announced that schools will be closed in Oregon. Venues that gather 250 people or more in close quarters are cancelled. Sports events are cancelled. At this point the number of presumed cases in Oregon is very low. But our neighboring state of Washington has a fair number active and presumed cases, as well as deaths which are related to age and compromised health.

I am toying with the idea of discontinuing gym visits until after things settle down. But, I am not convinced that it is absolutely necessary. I'm a fatalist. If I'm going to catch the virus, I will. There's no escaping it. For now, I will avoid confined spaces where a fair number of people gather, such as a bar or nightclub.

Almost 80yo Saggy is night clubbing & rides moped with glaucoma + performs massive bench pressing. Silly old man.

Didn't you plan to kill yourself in December '19  ::)

The last time I tried to kill myself was when I was a teenager. If I said such a thing in 2019, I was kidding. I don't own or ride a moped. Can't bench press worth shit. Vision with prescription glasses is 20/20. Not yet 80. Give me 4.5 more years. I'm probably healthier than you are. Went out for a drink last night. The bar had maybe 20 people there. Had one drink and left. I don't go to nightclubs. Gave that up years ago. Whether or not I am soggy, is a matter of opinion. I can sometimes be silly....my sense of humor is intact.

You are right about one thing. I don't actually know that I am healthier than you are. What I do know is that I am exceptionally healthy, which my doctor confirms each year when I have a physical. He said, "You are healthier than most of my 30 year old patients." Maybe I'm just being hopeful, but I take what he says as a positive comment about my health. Dementia is not something which runs in my family.

You can be re-infected with this virus again.  Getting it now won't give you any immunity to a future Covid mutation.

Best to avoid it if possible. Hopefully they will have a vaccination for next season.

I'm not saying this isn't the case, but I've not read anything to support this theory. What is your source? Since the coronavirus is so new and not well understood, how would anyone know whether you can be reinfected in the future, other than that with other flu viruses people do catch catch them again. Hence getting a flu shot to help control this. So far as we know right now, there is no shot to protect us from reinfections from a mutated coronavirus.

I am fat, I'm no twink that's for sure.
I have an agreement with several gym members, if I die while lifting, they are to pile more weight on so I don't look like a weak ass bitch. :D

I know I've caught colds etc from the gym before, I'm not taking any chances  >:(

The flu affects and kills exponentially more people.  Do you stop going to the gym during flu season each year?  This is a staged pandemic.  Nothing sells better than fear.

Nothing has changed for me.

The gyms I belong to did send out a lists of things being done to keep the gyms clean and asked everyone to wipe equipment before and after use.  They also have those motion sensitive had sanitizers.

I've been more surprised by all the hoarders at the food stores.  :-\

Well, the places where you probably get covid-19, is shops, gyms, schools, public transportation, etc. places where people gather just to cough and sneeze on the others. They has warned about gatherings of more than 500 people because of this virus, and what do the people do? They panic, run to the store to hoard foods and shit among thousands or others, then they stand in lines coughing and sneezin, while without this they would been quite safe  ;D

Honestly, you have a great sense of humor. Where have you been hiding it up until now?

May I borrow your idea about having other gym members pile on more weight should I die lifting too light a load? How lame would it be to have your epitaph read, he was a weak ass bitch.  ;D
