Shopped at our local supermarket two days ago and everything was normal - full shelves, normal lines.
Tonight they had a security guard up front for the first time, and they were just about out of all but non-premium meat and fish, no pasta, almost no beans, no sliced bread, no eggs, or rice, and milk was a ½-wait for restocking.
In a corner were freshly baked loaves of French bread –I guess slicing them at home was too much work for the average shopper – so I grabbed a couple.
20-minute wait in line, but that was because there were fewer cashiers on duty. I asked a couple folks in line if they knew anyone with this bug, and they said no.
