"Hello all, this is Shawn Raye, due to technical reason we cannot add someone that the fans want to see. It is late in the game and this may interrupt the preparation of Darrem and Phil Heath.

Mr. Weider..I mean the board members of the Colorado Pro has decided that wearing a mustache is against the rules and regulations. And besides this will cause a rift between Bob Chick and myself, I love that dude."

okay. everyone hold tight until we have total confirmation from everyone, and until rusty buys ticket/hotel room (or we paypal it for him) no funds will go anywhere.

Rusty could be the first athlete every to be sponsored entirely by the fans!

im sorry but as lift said...rusty who ? Bob won the show...there seems to be beef with the judging...wow...theres something new. im sorry 240 and others if you think there wont be any judging problems in the pdi.......hate to break it to you now...but there will be.

On the other note...i would gladly donate money to see kamali compete in shawns show...i suggest we start this drive, and see where it goes...it has a better chance of success imo. heres 30.00 donation to the KAMALI FUND. who wouldnt want to see shawn hand king a check as the overall winner.

One thing that people seem to be forgetting, there were no mass monsters in the Masters World.

Now I think Rusty's physique is the type that should be winning the top contests. That the judges should penalize those with grainy skin and GH gut. That if physiques like Rusty's were winning the top contests, bodybuilding would be more popular.

But only because there were no mass monsters in the line-up did we even notice Rusty's physique.

In Colorado, the big boys will be there, and it's unlikely that Rusty would crack the top 10.

Just my opinion but I hwould rather see Rusty guest pose than Darrem. Darrem would just be another off season pro bodybuilder. Rusty would be in shape, plus the main thing would be that here is a guy who is over 40 and has an outstanding physique that many guys in the audience could better relate to. He is an oddity so to speak. Not many guys his age can look like that.

Rusty being in the show would be the news story of the week. As much as you've worked to hype the show- and it's a good show- the big news story right now is not the upcomoing COlo Pro.

And if you feel that Rusty being in the show would not generate revenue in excess of that plane ticket, you're extremely offbase and Shawn should reconsider his choice in who he goes to for advice. I know you're tied into the whole muscle beauty/respect thing, but I am in tune with the heartbeat of the fans, LIFT. Whether they agree or disagree- they respond emotionally. And that is where your ticket sales and web ad revenue is generated.

But what do I know?

Ok first off it is highly UNlikely Bob Chic will compete at the Colorado pro. Plus, unless it is a MASTERS pro meet it is UNlikely Rusty J will have a shot at the top 5. Those that plan on going to the Colorado pro (or not), won't be swayed by any large numbers over Rusty being on stage against some top pros.
Chic won,no matter what anyone else thinks that ias the final result, a rematch next year at the same show could be some hype , I agree with that. Rusty will end up being yet another footnote and trivia question related to the endless controversial decisions in bodybuilding history.We all agree he should have placed much higher, but, none of us judged and many of us were NOT even at the show. No offense , but, get over it and lets us look fwd to a great 2006
season.

HAHA that's actually funny Keith. You're on a roll today - posting up a comedic photo and agreeing with me on some points. Are you suffering from a fever?

There's plenty to do in the Denver area in May. There is a baseball game on Sunday, the mountains are an hour away and the weather is great. It's a first year show and we're all certain some things will work, others may not but no one can accuse Shawn of not backing up his mouth on this one.

I spoke with Steve McAdams today, he is handling the stage production with plasma screens and video projection. Anyone who has seen his BodyRock shows knows he does an excellent job with the production.

Yea but there are pros that are better than tier 3 that are competiting, unlike the Masters. So he wouldn't do well.
