I'm sure that if any pro has, they'd come forward and say something?

ok, Kevin.

a pro is going to admit to being a pussy and using fake weights.

glad, that you are not paid for your powers of reasoning.

Guys I can't speak for all but I have been at a few pro shoots [they were for MD not Flex mind you] and they were real weights. If that helps any. If not ignore me :)

Great website. Now when people ask who my lifting partner is, I can just refer them to that. Most of my friends think I'm making it up. By the way, in case anyone wants to know, he benches 475 lbs on the incline bench, and squatted 635 for 2 reps last week. He's not just for show. See you in the gym Mark. Seth

It would be funny if these guys tried these lifts and lost their balance and fell out of the chair ;D

Haha, I've almost done that on a couple of occasions.  ;D

if you notice in the mags, everyone is benching with 5 plates, everyone can deadlift 6 plates, and almost everyone is squatting the same. according to flex there are no weak or strong pros because everyone's lifting the same exact amounts.

double funny because the dumbbells are apparently harder to get in a non-weighted variety, so the same guys tend to be curling 35s and doing shrugs with 100s.

And having 22" arms are dime a dozen in the IFBB.

Mark put up pics of him doing a 675 squat in his gym with his own camera about a month before he won the USA`s

As per Flex well all the mags have fake bullshit photos. This has been going on for years

PS when there is more than 400lbs on a barbell they tend to be bent a bit in the photos

so if you see someone lifting any exercise over that amount and there absolutely no bend in the bar well draw your own conclusions

Dugdale just doesn't look big enough to lift that much. How much does he weigh?

Goes to show how much Chris Loves his fans...
In an article published somewhere, Dugdale was asked if what Bodybuilder he is a fan of and he states .... "I have always been the biggest Chris Cormier fan, his physique is one i am trying to emulate the most..."

I doubt Chris Lund uses fake weights because every bodybuilder who works with him tells me how hard they work.
I'm sure that if any pro has, they'd come forward and say something?

well then it's funny that they always seem train heavier for flex photo shoots than in any videos of them. you'd think that a nearly offseason ronnie would be stronger in cost of redemption than he was for his flex shoots, but there he is squatting 9 plates on those glossy pages. and without knee wraps or the suit he needed when doing 55 pounds less in his video. amazing.

Some guys, like Neveaux, has always been using fake plates. Obviously the best way to make a good photoshoot, better safety, and also allows for holding doing slower reps et al.

The photographer has to make sure the BB isn't loading up the BB with too much weight, making the picture look ridiculous.

The photographer who did the shoot with Mark Dugdale could easily verify or nullify the lift.

Personally, I'm with Cormier's ghostwriter this time.

No way Dugdale inclined 495 lbs.

The hardcore reference must remain a secret I'm afraid. Just knowing the reason could put lives in danger.

From what I understand, he's started to use fake weights after the JP incident.

Perhaps not to the same extent as Neveaux, but some fake weights nevertheless.

Don't take my word for it though.

I'm sure Perine or some other guy could verify it.

Dennis James says in the current FLEX mag that he knows he is strong, and is capable of lifting 405 for several reps on the incline bench. I guess he didn't realize Dugdale blows him away on the incline.  ::)

Personally, I don't believe Mark is capable of lifting 495 on the inclines. I've seen him in the gym, and he is a thick dude. But 495 for reps sounds like too much for him. I'll take him at his word if Mark himself comes on the boards and states that he has done this.

Few points....

#1 everyone has their strong lifts.  Im a shoulder guy myself.  Duggy must be a pusher.

#2 Iv have a video of Cormier doin 405x12 reps on the incline.  He slaps on the plates and they clank, you know they are real.  Id almost guarantee Cormier could hit 495x2-3

#3 Who forgot hes like 5'6?  Arch your chest, dont touch your chest (which is proper form), shoulders back.... and you got yourself maybe 5-6 inches range of motion.  If hes powerful on incline like i assume he is by lookin at him, i believe 495x1-2 on a good day.

Dennis has a picture showing him doing 595 * 3 on the incline. Something doesn't add up ???

So what.............it's a photo shoot. Maybe he's doing heavy negatives? Mark trains a lot like Dorian...........heavy assisted movements.
His squat is his strongest lift..........have seen him push 500x10, ass to the floor....no assist. Some of you should back off the negative comments.........as many of you couldn't lift his wallet.

Dorian never advocated negative only sets. He would incorporate negatives only after he had reached failure with a weight he could manage. In addition, Dorian never used negatives on free weight, compound movements like the incline bench press. Forced reps, sure, but never negatives because it is dangerous. He did use negatives frequently on the Hammer Strength incline press however.

Don't mistake doubt/skepticism as negativity.

We're to readily assume he can bench press 495 because he can squat 500 for repetitions? What sort of logic is that?Your example is irrelevant. Lastly, you urge us to "back off the negative comments", yet you conclude with a negative comment!

he's on video doing 455 for two or three. i think it's in a bfto tape, so that was right outside a contest. so 405 for a few on incline isn't a challenge for him.
