The bloofy one his beard is grey and in the flat depleted one there is little grey.   Its all so strange.  Maybe there are 2 or 3 Bhanks or body doubles.

All I can say is the two side by side pics one is obviously in a locker room post workout pump and one is in a bathroom or something at home no pump. I look know with a good pump I can look 20+ lbs heavier than being cold. And the angles are slightly different and poses are different so it make sense to me. Now everyone else get back to arguing.

So about a week between these two -

Correct they are about two weeks apart as both are after chest triceps side delt day although one is after 1.5 hours  at the gym and the other is at home and maybe a half hour workout . In the first pic I am 225lbs in the second pic I am about 220lbs. In the first pic my chin is level in the second I have tilted my head back to reduce the shadow on my chest. The pose is also very different in the first I am stretching my chest across my rib cage and flaring my delts out and my arms slightly begind. In the second I am squeezing my chest together and bringing the shoulder forward and down and leaving the arms slightly forward very different pose. Honestly I think my condition is better in the 2nd one I am tighter but the first one is a better pump and better lights.

I have time to lift today new 25lb gopher strict curl bar just showed up. Also have a 30lb Rogue curl bar on the way that they use in 365 Powerlifting Organization the Rogue doesn’t allow the hands to be as close so probably is the harder bar to curl but will see.

First off this may shock you but I don’t make the rules. My Eogue delivery actually showed up end of day so these are my 2 new bars.The black Rogue bar is what powerlifting 365 uses and is similar to the Ivanhoe 55 act Fletcher uses and some other orgs. The gopher bar is what Sreict curl and a few others use I believe between the 2 this is a good representation of competition bars. The black on is 30lb an and the gopher is 25 Va your standard 20. I have put them next to my two old bars to show the difference. You can see they are longer heavier and have more room for incremental weight adjustments also the grip generally speaking an ex curl bar is less strain on the wrist. The gopher is a close grip and the rogue is considered a wide grip ex curl bar but you can grip them wherever you like. I am trialing with the bars I plan to compete with.

Hankins are you allowed to grip anywhere on the bar in these contests? Just curious as I’m weak on narrow grip and much stronger on the outer grip not that I’m competing(maybe one day)just curious. I’ve never been good at narrow grip curls I find them very awkward.

Yes you are allowed to grip anywhere on the bar and some people used a much wider grip than others whatever is comfortable for you. I am planning on doing an event on the flatter Rogue Bar March 4th then an event July 6th or 7th on the more extreme narrow grip gopher bar (some people gripped this wide). Hopefully I can hit an Olympia qualifying lift in July that would be the goal. July is a qualifier for the Mr America but not interested in that would like to do the Olympia though end of November.

The gopher on the far right you can see the shape is more dramatic it allows a more narrow hammer curl style grip. I havent used either enough or at all to say if one has a performance advantage just digesting some mac and cheese then planning to test them out. I almost dont want to chalk them up they are all new and the rogue is greasy just out of the package not a scratch on them. But you can see they are much higher quality than my old bars or what they have at my local gym

Thanks for that.that would be cool to curl at the Olympia. Stupid question but as a guy who hasn’t competed if you enter the 220 but are 228 are you then moved up to 242 or how does that work? Do you have to be under the class limit?

Yeah you have to be under the limit like you would compete at 242. But they then factor your weight into wilks score but I just want to lift as much as I can if I show up 228 and lift more in 242 than I would at 220 that is fine with me. But recently I have been right around 220 in the am which is nice as can do a morning weigh in for the 220 class and not have to show up in another town friday afternoon for the Saturday meet could come in late and weigh in sat morning. Also easier to set records and qualify in lower class but I don't really care what I am not going to do is attempt to cut to 198 to hell with that. Its honestly a lot of fun everyone is stoked supportive and in a good mood and its over by noon.

Thanks again. Those bars do look sweet, I love curling so I appreciate curl bars. Let me know which you think is a better bar after testing them out.

Rogue sells small bars that you can use those plates with.  Expensive but look awesome
