No one is arguing about your strict curl, the definition of strict curl.

Once again, I absolutely applaud for your strict curl against wall.

But you claimed you could easily standing barbell curl 150 lbs without cheating.

All we ask for is just to show us proof of your claim.

I don’t need to provide additional proof of anything the strict curl more than proves it to people who have done one by all means go figure it out for yourself

I am going for a new PR and an unofficial Age group and state record next time I go heavy not making nonsense videos for you because you don’t know that a strict curl is harder than a regular barbell curl. Anyone who strict curls can tell you that. I don’t need to prove it go find out for yourself

Why do I need to argue with anyone about what is and isn’t a strict curl or is a clearly defined competitive lift and I do it twice a week you think I don’t warm up without the wall first? It’s a lot harder with a wall. I don’t need to argue what I already know all day long

I am not talking about from a competitive standpoint.

Try to strict curl without using the wall. I can almost guarantee that you will have to drop the weight.

The wall forces you to stay up straight which is why you can use lot more weight.

No one can your body is going to move without a wall doesn’t matter if you are curling 50lbs your body is going to move just because you are not deliberately moving it and thrusting your hips and back doesn’t mean it’s a strict curl. It’s much easier to do a standing barbell curl no matter how much you don’t think you are moving. But again this is common knowledge to anyone who has ever done a strict curl so why do I have to argue all day with you idiots about it???

Worked up to 135 pounds, could not curl it strictly while free standing.

Leaned up against the wall and curled it easily.

What's going on here?

You can’t lean against the wall if your butt is on it in it as well it keeps your perpendicular and prevents leaning again why make up nonsense and argue all day?? Actually go try it  You couldn’t be more wrong

Rob, you are missing the point just like hankins

If you tried to do a strict curl without leaning against a wall and performed it without any upper body movement at all apart from your biceps you couldnt lift as much as you can when leaning against a wall.

A strict curl isn't very strict if you are talking bodybuilding isolation. It's about using as many muscles as possible. Just isolating the biceps would result in a pretty bad curl. You use your traps, forearms, and a bit of hip to get the bar past the sticking point, tuck the elbows down to activate the shoulders more. Quite a bit of technique.

Thats not legal you cant dislocate your shoulder on one side and dip it a foot lower than the other the rules say you have to keep it even.

Also they just announced today they will be competing on the main stage at the Arnold I think that is something to aspire to. I didn't qualify this year as I had only 1 month of training before my first meet, but I hope to next year.
