Yes, but socialist ideas work where everyone is the same (ie all middle class white)

For instance, I wouldn't mind helping my neighbor, but I would mind my money going to a democrat mom with 8 kids all by different men...

Good question.. was it like this in the 70's 80's? I didn't pay all that much attention then.. maybe it was, but I can't remember a time when the divide was greater than it has been in the last 15 years

I wouldn't go so far as to say they are two polar opposites but I would agree that Obama is the most divisive president we've had.
