true, they should just shut up and play the game.  if you ever watch charles barkley and shaq o'neal on pregame coverage of nba basketball. barkley likes to run his mouth on everything and anything. when it comes to anything political or controversial. shaq becomes non existent in the conversation. reason he doesn't want to alienate any of his sponsors. barkley just doesn't care.

Barkley is a Black conservative isn't he?

&t=36s

So much promise...and now look at him, a lying piece of shite.

A guy I went to high school turned out the same way.

He was a good guy in high school, went to law school, had a successful practice, got into politics, became a piece of shite.

I'm wondering if all the people that call for the Chinese Olympics to be boycotted have removed all products from their home that were made in China ie Apple phones Nike shoes children's clothing toys etc etc

Pretty impossible to remove chinas presence from our lives. But I will continue to vote for those that oppose china. That’s the best I can do, that and not watch that fuqing sheet show

I only wear and use products that are made in North Korea.  They are far superior to Chinese imports.

US athletes worked for 4 years while dreaming about an olympic medal then politics come to put an end to their dream and traumatize them.

Sports were made to bring people together and make peace but the US doesn't seem to care about this.

Keep politics out of sports

Politics in the olympics isn’t a new thing

Why anyone still watches let alone supports this clown festival called olympics, is the real question. The fact that it is being held in commie country is just the icing on the cake...

The Olympics is a rigged competition with drugged up athletes. So why isn’t bodybuilding included?

Shaq spoke out against vaccine mandates recently:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nba/shaquille-o-e2-80-99neal-says-covid-19-vaccines-should-not-be-forced/ar-AATslsa

Maybe on the basketball show he just likes to talk basketball and not get into tangential political issues.

I would guess there are quite a few Conservatives in the NBA.  As my grandma used to say, everyone's liberal until they make some money.

Yes, I prefer my fascist overlords to have round eyes, not squinty ones. When I choose to support a company that will cut every corner they can for the sake of their short term profit, I demand that it's an American company that's fucking me over goddamnit!

https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/07/china/eileen-gu-olympics-foreign-athletes-mic-intl-hnk/index.html

Quote
Freestyle skier Eileen Gu's rise to the top has been meteoric -- and her popularity in China has exploded in the lead-up to the Games. "Snow princess Gu Ailing set to shine at home Olympics," read one headline in state-run media Xinhua, referring to Gu by her Chinese name.

But Gu, 18, has another home: the United States, where she was born to a Chinese mother and American father, and where she first discovered her love for the sport. In 2015, just a few months after she reached her first World Cup podium, the San Francisco native announced she was switching to compete for China instead of the US -- a controversial decision that thrust her firmly into the spotlight.

Not my type, and not a Getbigger dateable 11, but looks hittable.

My sneakers are American made, SAS, San Antonio Shoemakers. I generally don’t wear underpants, unless I need compression shorts for the gym (which are Vietnamese made).

You trying to turn me on? ;D

Prisoner rights are a good example of the divide in the country.

Obviously prisoners should be treated humanely but where is the line drawn with those who can’t be reintroduced into society?

For some reason I thought these fellas (the Chinese Gov't) harvested those fellas (the irredeemable convicts) organs when their 'matches' came up?  Which I always thought was a pretty practical - albeit super-cold-blooded - way of them paying something back to society...  Or did I misunderstand youand you mean how do we decide who can never be released?  Actually, as I typed this I think you meant the second one, so maybe ignore this garbage altogether, sorry :P

Actually that is an interesting idea. I wonder if people would decline organs from notorious criminals?

But again how is this decision made? In the US each state controls it's own prison. Some states have death sentences and most don't.

I've heard many, from LE to psychologists, say the punishment wont deter the sociopathic criminal behavior because it's a  "hardwired" personality, they commit the crimes (and i'm talking murders) because they think they wont or cant get caught, and this is why the death penalty is not effective.

But I'd argue that the death penalty is not to deter violent crimes but rather to eliminate individuals who can not live in society (without committing the acts).

Wealthy Saudis love the halal Uighur organs.  The Uighurs are Muslim so they don't consume pork or alcohol.

I have.

I won’t ever have products that are American made if the source material is from China.

I own several products made in Vietnam.

That's a great idea, Dave D! I stopped buying anything Made in China in March of 2020.

I made an exception for this cellphone I am typing on now, last August.

But otherwise, I'm done with Chinese made goods.

I didn't even think of Vietnam, lol. Cheap Asian alternative. Nice!

I think it's time to move our major production to India, or elsewhere in Asia. It would still be cheap, and we won't be supporting a
nuclear totalitarian regime.

Would you rather free USA be the global superpower, or Communist China? Be careful what you wish for.

USA is not "free", Matt Cawk. And China will not be the ruler.

Correct on the USA...but we can say the USA is the FREEST.

You don't think China would be the ruler?

With the way the USA is falling and China is rising, I'm not sure anymore. A friend of mine said it will take 80 years. I hope it's at least that long.
