Attempted Murder: Cain Velasquez arrested

According to a report from TMZ Sports, Velasquez rammed his F-250 truck into a car and fired multiple shots. One of the people in the vehicle had been arrested just last week for molesting a “close relative” of Cain’s family. That person was under the age of 14. For some reason, the suspect (Harry Goularte) was released from jail and put on supervised release, despite being charged with 1 felony count of a lewd and lascivious act.

The police report noted that Velasquez wound up following the man, his mother, and stepfather from their San Martin, CA home on Monday afternoon. At some point during the chase, Velasquez began shooting into a Chevy Silverado that Goularte’s stepdad was driving. Velasquez also rammed the truck with his car, and then eventually fled the scene.

Police later located Cain on the same road several miles away and arrested him without incident. When they searched his car, they found a 40-caliber semi-automatic handgun. Additionally, police found two 10-bullet magazines in the vehicle. One of the magazines had 8 bullets missing from it.

Velasquez is now facing 10 charges, including 1st degree attempted murder, several counts of assault with a deadly weapon, and shooting an occupied motor vehicle.

I should not have called you an asshole.  For that I apologize.  He fucked up no doubt.  Lost his mind but what he did was NOT white knighting.  It was an act of rage/passion.  How do you know it wasn't his daughter?  Also, if it happened to one of my nieces or nephews I'd be filled with the same rage as if it were my own kids.  I wish he'd have hit and killed the intended target.  At least then he'd have gotten his money worth.  Sort of.

his fearless mentality and being a legit badass made him a champion,  it will be his undoing too

to make matters worse he didn't even shoot the right guy, just a colossal fuck up all around for cain

at least he won't have to worry about anybody bullying him or beating him up in prison, guy made brock lesnar cower and beg for mercy so i doubt some jail bird can give him much of a fight

I really don't disagree with anything you said.  I just cannot know what I would do if somebody hurt my daughter.  I like to think I'd be smarter about revenge but make no mistake I'd be consumed with rage and wanting to kill that person.

Hitting the father is what is going to cost him years in prison. Prosecution will say Cain didn't care who else was in the vehicle. They'll make it sound like even if the vehicle was full of kids, Cain was going to pull the trigger not caring who he hit. Would have been great if he got the guy out of the car and just snapped his neck without firing a gun. Would have got Legend status doing that.

I hope there is a path for him to not end up in prison.  Be it home incarceration, tethered or what have you.

Not likely unless he ends up not doing any more time and is flat broke without any other means of revenue.  Even then, the chances of him getting through a camp uninjured are exceedingly slim given his advanced age and past history of injuries.
