damn inspiring words!
Brother hazbin, sometimes when I see confidence dwindling in these young men, I like to swoop on in and remind them of who they are, remind them of why they donned the thong, remind them of why they push themselves to the limit.
You know why? Because once those harsh lights are turned off, the judges make their way back to their respective homes to be with their husbands and the crowd goes home to discuss the great time they had at the event, it's these iron warrior that have to take the long way home. I've seen these men in the back rooms having to scrub the posing oil off while wondering whether they had timed everything just right. I've seen these warriors having to get hooked up to IV bags and oxygen just to try and get back to baseline. It's the blood, sweat and tears of this sport.
I don't want to see bhank wheeled out on a stretcher. I want to see one of GetBig's own do well on that stage. If he wins, I'd love for him to do it with class and sophistication. If he loses, I want him to hold his head up high and realize that the world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough bhanks is, it will beat him to his knees and keep him there permanently if he lets it. I want him to know that you, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard you’re hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! I just want bhank to know this.
