I still do not believe anything the US media says. China just spent 5 or 6 decades building their economy to be #1 in the world. Why would they be provoking the US (and NATO) to a war that would knock them back down the ladder to start all over again? We may be seeing Project Mockingbird in action again.
They are not provoking anyone, they simply want to regain historical territory in Hong Kong and Taiwan, they won't take it by force, that's not their style unless they are provoked like the US and NATO have done to the Russians in Ukraine. They have taken Hong Kong by using the island dependency on water from China, the Chinese play the long game, Taiwan will be fine for a good while if Pelosi and others keep their politics out, the west is hardly a shining example of an alternative in modern times, leave Taiwan alone and allow the Chinese to just play their long game, it will mean less lives, go to war with them and you will have Vietnam and Korea all over again, the surrender and retreat from Afghanistan isn't even history yet and yet there is talk of war with China a war that recent history tells us can't be won.
