The old people can be annoying, just go to talk...
They stand around in peoples way in middle of the gym, or taking up a bench by surrounding it & talking for 20 mins a whack, etc...
I like most of them, but some are annoying kvnts...
I have headphones on, and this one guy will come up yapping to the side of my head, even while im straining during a set, real odd duck...
No one likes the clown... I hear other geezers shitting on him... Bald fukk...
VERY TRUE! There are a lot of old people at my gym, actually. They seem completely lost. You get up for a moment to rack a set of dumbbells and they charge right in and sit on your bench!
Not to mention, WTF ARE THESE WORKOUTS? From the guy doing 2-inch rom underhand lat pulldowns with 30 lbs, to the guy on cable machine doing as yet un-named and utterly incomprehensible motions, to woman supersetting squats and dumbbell curls (

?) with the same weight (

??)... i mean, i know google is not exactly boomer friendly, but still, i can't fathom what is going thru these peoples' heads. did they just think to do the first thing that came to mind and never pause even one moment to ask "hmm i wonder why all these fit people aren't doing anything remotely similar to this shit i just thought up?"
not that i am bagging on them out of prejudice... there are a few older people doing legit workouts and in impressive shape for their age. but by and large their workouts make zero sense. i'm reminded of ye-olde-days when girls did pink-dumbbell "toning" circuits because they "didn't want to get get bulky"

I mean that is just what you get in a regular commercial gym. If you want to seriously train without the crazies go when it is empty join a specialty gym or have your own gym. But if you want to flex for your gym crush in a string tank top during the 6pm after work rush some idiots hogging all the best equipment is the price you are going to pay.
well put bhanks! i agree.
