There's a tidbit circulating that women sleeping with mass numbers of men damage their ability to pair-bond by diminishing levels of plasma oxytocin. Something like that.
The ones refuting this the most furiously are, of course, the most prolific sluts. According to them, sleeping with 10, 100 - HELL, EVEN 1,000+ MEN - will do absolutely nothing to adversely impact pair-bonding. Right.
For men, high partner count = higher probability for infidelity, apparently. Makes sense. It only takes 10 partners to make infidelity almost guaranteed. Even ignoring that, there are other risks - like STI's.
