Sincerely, does anyone know specifics about McDonalds and other fast food burgers? What I mean people say it's so horrible but since I haven't sen if there are analyses of the meat or if you can source it to a few farms. Recently a friend
swore off all McD because it makes him feel horrible in his gut. So we picked up Subway last time we trained. He claimed Subway was not fast food to him and much more forgiving to his system. I asked him what he thought was bad about McD burgers, "the meat just doesn't smell right." You don't get anywhere with this type of reasoning.
So... is anyone here aware of why the meat might be "crap"? Or even a hunch? You still have the buns and condiment, can't remember if you can switch the buns? A regular burger has ketchup I think and a tiny vegetable. Why is this so bad?
I think that people don't really think. I think Sam Sulek got a lot of shit for his food choices but if it fits his daily macros, what's the big deal?
Bodybuilding related, a couple of friends bought a dozen McD patties for the flight to the US to compete. Easy to "not prepare" for protein when carb depleting. Bad idea?
There are so many nutritional myths on the "health side," like milk contains androgens and growth hormones and that makes kids enter puberty earlier. You can't even rationalise with these. Or micronutrient levels in foods nowadays. Some are lower, some higher IIRC.
