In yesterday’s episode of Fox and Friends, the hosts were presented with a tweet from Dwight Howard saying “I honestly feel like the president should make one year of service mandatory for everyone born in America. A lot of other countries do it, and I think it would help with discipline and structure.”
Lara Trump responded to it by bringing up Israel (of course) and then saying that we should implement mandatory military service so that Americans have more appreciation for the troops, who apparently don’t get enough respect as it is.
“You look at Israel, every Israeli citizen has to dedicate themselves to serving their country…I like this idea because I’ll tell you what: It would give so much more appreciation to our men and women who do serve in America, who I don’t think get the adequate respect from a lot of the country that they are due,” she continued.
