Irving was broken by the prevailing system some feel, made some concessions regarding the holocaust story under duress. Maybe? He sued for libel but lost, was jailed etc. But regarding history and historians it's impossible to remove bias I think and none of us were there when things transpired. I think Hitler was a 'terrible' man as many historical figures have been but seems to have identified certain things correctly and was prescient, for example regarding the role Israel would play in the future.

I think the fact the government is concentrating on 11 year old boys being the problem rather than mass importation of people from cultures that treat women as second class citizens at best is a little misguided.
