Looks like with each passing Olympia, symmetry and shape become less and less relevant when judging physiques.  Come in ripped and dry and you'll win...even if you look like R2-D2.

I think Nick is going to win.

I also think Derek pissed off the higher ups when he told Andrew that he’ll never win. Very trashy. What happened to Derek and his family man, church going image? This is how the current Mr. Olympia speaks to a fellow competitor? Ronnie, Jay, Dorian, Samir, Priest, Paris…none of the older pros would act like that.

I didn't realize the prize money in the 212 is so meager:

Winner: Keone Pearson ($50,000)
Second Place:  Lucas Garcia ($20,000)
Third Place: Shaun Clarida ($12,000)
Fourth Place: Vitor Alves Porto De Oliveira ($7,000)
Fifth Place: Nihat Kaya ($6,000)

That was the most accurate pro judging O I have ever seen.  The night show was judged and scored differently than the pre judging.  Samson was all first place on the night show, but was not enough to get the win over Nick.

You no longer need to be genetically gifted to be mr Olympia, we finally have our all drugs no genetics, no symmetry winner. No wonder the sport never climbed above la crosse.

Yeah I think you're correct - Judging needs to be overhauled along with rule book
And some sort of test for oil usage its got ridiculous & accepted.
No end of folk saying Chindue Andrew should of won - FFS he's full of oil.  ::)

they think it attracts people to the sport, it probably does to be honest

People used to look at Bob Paris and think, no matter what I do thats never going to happen
Then along came Gaspari and its "well hes got poor structure but if I take enough drugs then I can become a champion"

Branch gave hope to people less structurally sound, now we have Lunsford and Walker.

Hey, just eat everything soaked in almond butter and take 6 shots a day and I too can become Mr Olympia

I just watched Dipitty Do Dauda’s day of eating. Why does he keep his prepped chicken and rice in little blue bags that look like dog poop bags? And he’s very passionate about the special measuring spoon he scoops his rice with all day.

his physique looks tired... compare to what he looked like 10+ years ago. Time to hang it up.

1. The check is not written correctly. 2. Nick’s bubble gut is so large it’s creating a shelf for the medal to rest on. 3. Weekend at Bernie’s Magic Bob looks like he’s stuffed in quite tight in the 4 sizes too small suit of his.

I still think Dauda should have won because of Nick's gut.
