    This clip sums up the mets' year perfectly            I was hoping the phillies would have  dumped bohm moved harper to rf and picked up alonso  in the off season. Soto and lindor and bichette  did pretty poorly this year and didn't live up to their big contracts.

Mets let politics and stars influence moves.  Letting Nimmo go was bad enough, but replacing with Simien was even worse.  Obvious from the get-go.

Bichette was never worth what he got for a contract.  Solid player, poor defender.....Mets got desperate and overpaid like crazy.

   I was going to mention semien, guy is 36 and has been on the skids the last 3 years, he reminds me of anthony rendon, guy had one good season 2019 and now another team is going to pay out big time for a sub par player.

   I remember the first of these deals . years ago the yankees got all bent out of shape because they got don gullet from the reds and gave him a 6 year contract for 2 million. he fell apart after one good year for them.
