I knew this question was coming. You guys are too predictable

The pic from above shows the 180 degree angle of Halfdome. That's not where I climbed. Only an experienced rock climber with safety gear would be able to do that. Even then, someone seems to die every year attempting it. The side I climbed on, could be hiked if the poles are up. It's at about a 45 degree angle. Without the poles, you are able to stand on the clif and pull yourself up with the cables. So, if you do let go, you will fall. However, I knew my condition at the time was superb and I had no doubt I would make it...I did. Here are some pics so you can get a better idea of what I am talking baout. Imagine the poles holding up the cables not bein there.
BTW, I would not go sky diving, bungi jumping or anything else of the sort that takes my life out of my hands and puts it in danger.
