I was running out of Brewers Yeast, so I stopped by the health food store. Next to the brewers yeast was molasses yeast. I compared the stats and found them comparable (1 serving: 100 cals, 0 fat, 14g protein, 13 g carbs and 7g fiber). It was a great deal less expensive however. The taste was about the same as brewers yeast.
Has anyone tried molasses yeast? If so, any drawbacks I'm missing, what did you think etc.
