I think the only situation is on this board - if there were any snafu's with prize money I think Shawn would make sure it was taken care of properly - he's been one of the loudest voices in the sport as far as prize money issues go.

These are interesting points you bring up.

If you're right about the facts, the Athlete's Rep should and will probably put the pressure on the IFBB.

The promotor of a show should always try to cut the best deal possibly for himself.

So this isn't about the CO Pro promotors. But rather the IFBB, and why they didn't (if onlyme is right), have the same procedure as for 1Fast400.

What the hell does Shawn Ray's personal life has to do with the different treatment of promoters?

The Orlando show got a different treatment, if onlyme is correct.

That is beyond fcuked up.

And yet some people keep bringing Shawn fcuking Ray into this? And his morality?

The question is: how will the Athlete's Rep truly represent Heath in this matter, and how can the Athlete's Rep put pressure on the IFBB to get equality among promotors, or better rules for promotors?

What's the Athlete's Rep take on the whole situation?

Instead of looking at these questions, several of you are just looking to pick internet fights with Chick and Shawn Ray.

Why was shawn blaming Winston Roberts for the TO Show financial woes then? Was it not the sponsors fault? I'm just asking I don't know the facts here...

Every fcuking post you make out to Cicherillo is about him being in liason with "the powers that be".

How could you ever get anything constructive out of that?

How about drop the accusations for once, and make suggestions. Look on Cicherillo as a possibility.

Giving him the benefit of a doubt, also opens up for actually making suggestions about improvements for BB, instead of having him concentrate on defending his actions.

As stated earlier...as of this time, Phil has not contacted me as to any problems receiving his money. There was a bank error (as I posted), which they admitted to and took responsibility for...simple as that. For all we know, Phil has cashed he check.

There isn't any money issue with Vyotech, trust me on this one boys...they have the money.LOLOL....

An idea for you, something you may or may not have thought of yourself:

Call up promotors of BB shows, and ask for their input on how relations between athletes-promotors-IFBB could be improved.

Try to get some feedback after each show from the promotor. A couple of standard questions would make it even easier to make comparisons between contests, and make evaluations.

Seems like there are some discrepancies in how the promoters are treated by the IFBB, and the Athlete's probably ends up suffering.

Just some ideas,

Actually Mike s the one who originally posted it and then Ron deleted it. So those are the facts. Why would the IFBB have different rule for each promoter. How do they expect to keep things on the up and up when rules are written yet never followed. There is NO rhyme or reason for this.

Another question is who is the winner or the Hummer. Now several people have said the winner actually works for one of the sponsors of the show. If indeed he does just work for them, then usually he would be ineligible to win the Hummer. Not to say how bad it looks when one of your sponsors win the grand prize. Also, Phil may not ever complain cause he fears what might happens if he does. It is a fact and the history of the IFBB to punish however severe anyone who crosses their path in a negative manner.

In any case, it has been two weeks since the show. Did everyones check bounce from the NY Pro. Has something like this happened before. Because the way it has been explain now with the bank holding funds and such all kinds of checks should have bounced from other shows.

And the biggest question of all is why wasn't the prize money in escrow or guaranteed. Why didn't VYOtech simply write a check to Heath for the $25,000 since they were the ones who donated that prize. And the other checks to the other competitors are just added fuel to the fire. Why did so many checks bounce at the same time, yet not all the checks bounced. Which means either they came in personally to the bank on Monday and cashed the checks and by the time the other checks were posted their was no more money in the account. As I said before the money they get from live ticket sales is not given to them till a few days after the show as the convention center has to do their accounting and take their cut. But, why was the show relying on just the ticket sale money to cover the prize money. Plus, why were there other checks not even asscoaited with prize money bouncing.

Hey Stevie Wonder what was cleared up. Still checks have not been cashed. What has been proven here. Here are the facts;

1. NO money in the account when these checks were written
2. 8 out of 10 competitors checks bounced
3. 2 smaller checks bounced probably to people who helped with the show
4. Only a typed written statement by Chic has been posted stating the bank made a mistake
5. NO "actual" document has been seen
6. Each check that bounced caused bank fees to be charged to each persons account (who will pay this $25)
7. Their are possibilites that from some of the bounced checks certain checks in the payees account could have bounced. Meanining possible mortgage payments, medical insurance, car insurance, and others
8. Even if it is the banks fault, at NO time should this have happen cause NO matter what there should have been plenty of money in the account and floating money between accounts should have never had to have happened.
9. It has been two weeks and how many checks are still not paid that have been submitted.
10. A first time promoter received special treatment because he was not required to provide proof of funds to pay the prize money as the IFBB has mandated. But, they have made other promoters deposit money into the IFBB account many months prior to the show. Which is turn earns interest. If this is a common practice of the IFBB, then just how many IFBB shows are paying their sanctions fees and providing the prize money for the IFBB to deposit into their account and draw interest off this money. It could easily reach into the millions of dollars. Considering how much prize money their is plus sanction fees and how many shows there are. S

Something is up in the IFBB village and it appears the village people are getting smarter and now questioning the way the king is ruling his world.

Bob, what do you think can be done to ensure that promoters are treated equally? Mike Childress had to prepay 8 months in advance, but Vyotech didn't. Doesn't seem fair to me, and it has caused some embarassment for the company as a result.
