People who are car enthusiasts do not care how much a car is worth in five years.(unless they are a collector or investor) You guys are obv not car guys and look for the practicality in buying an automobile. If you are spending 150 k on a car you do not give a shit about appreciation and mileage.

Ronnie wanted a Bentley. Ronnie bought one

who cares

You have to clue as to how much Ronnie paid for the Bentley. You don't know if he got a discount or it was part of a promotion package. What car(s) do you drive? who is to say what another human needs are? I am sure that if you look through your life we will find a lot of things "not needed" that you hold dear to you.

So lets not come off as "I am above that", look in the mirror then talk.

If a guy makes 60K a year and bought a car for 35K would most americans call that excessive? Based on his spending habits I would say he is no better or worse than the average person. (percentage wise ofcourse)

Ronnie has spoken on several occasions that $120,000+sponsor dollars or whatever isnt that much money. He is talking about the O winnings. As said before... the man is an accountant and I'm willing to bet he knows more about accting and handling his money than 95% of the pop.... as a biologist would know more bio than 95% of the pop.

There is no way HHH is getting $50 mil a year, especially with the business being down for the last 2 to 4 years. Matter of fact, the WWE has been making cuts left and right, due to their financial situation. It is their fault though. Instead of making shitty b movies and wannabe rap records, they should be focusing on their in ring product. That is why I hardly ever watch anything of theirs anymore. The last time I ordered a WWE ppv was over 2 years ago. Fuck, even Wrestlemania sucks now.

I will be ordering ECW tomorrow though.

finally someone with some sense...HHH making 50 million a year and the WWE dropping out of the billion dollar company range....Just silly...Howard Stern said to Stone Cold in an interview when the WWF was at its peak, "what do you make 1-2 million a year"...Stone Cold said "come on Howard give me alittle more credit"...Well I read somewhere that he was making 2 million a year and the Rock was making 2 million a year...So you can put HHH in that catagory...But 50Million ::)I bet Vince doesn't even give himself a paycheck like that each year...Son in law or not he certainly isn't going to give HHH anywhere near that king of bank concidering that if he was to get divorced and leave the WWE, it wouldn't effect the WWE's bottom line one bit....

I didn't start this thread. Nor did I first mention the Bentley. I could care less what he spends his money on. It's his. Sorry about the cost of the Bentley I was under the impression it was an Azure which my friend was looking at to buy and they are $300,000+ new. At least the one they had at the LA Car Show. And in regards to my cars and what I have owned. I paid cash for every car I have ever had. Including a mint condition 64' Lincoln Continental Convertible, Porsche 935 Slantnose (pictured), 2 BMW's, Mustang 5.0, a Tahoe, Cherokee, Bronco (pictured), 67' Firebird Convertible (pictured), Trans Am Limited Edition and others. Some cars are bad investments. Several of mine were not bad but very very good investments.

And by the way dealers don't deal on Bentleys. You pay what they ask for it unless you are some super superstar that they are overimpressed with. The people who can afford to buy a Bentley do not ask for a deal. You would get laughed out of the dealership

I heard The Rock made about 5-7 million in his best year from wrestling and wrestling related things, like merchandise. WCW paid guys huge amounts because they had much deeper pockets. The backing of a network.

Well you are right it might be used. Never thought of that. And again, Bentley does not do promotional discounts or trade-offs if that is what you were thinking was a possibility. The richest people in the world drive Bentleys. It is absoutely one of the top top status luxury cars. The biggest names in entertainment, music, sports and the corporate world drives Bentleys and even a Rolls in their. I can see where Ronnie driving around in a Bentley would absoutely look cool and increase his status wherever he goes. It is the top. And from that point of view I see entirely why he'd have one. I grew up in a bankers house. All I heard my mom and dad talk about was banking shit. I always heard her talk about people buying "over their heads". My mom and dad were kings of buying foreclosures. One of my very first cars was bought at auction after it was repoed. I don't really care what Ronnie spends money on like I said. It's none of my business and I coudl care less. The thing I was trying to exhibit is how someone goes off and buys a car that is very expensive and they are in an industry that at any moment could come crashing down on them and all income could end. The they have to sell there nice stuff to survive. It has happened to many athletes and celebrities. Mr. T, Mike Tyson, Hammer and many others. I just think its sad when it happens when it doesn't have to happen.

that's completely not true.. Wrestlers don't get that much..

The reason Bret went to WCW because:

1) WCW is going to pay Bret $3 million dollars for 150 shows per year while currently WWF was paying him $1.5 million for 250 shows per year.

2) WWF is going through financial difficulties

3) Bret reluctant to leave WWF but at the same time he's not that happy with his character WWF is going to put him at.

4) Vince knew that he can't retain Bret and wanted him to lose the title before he leaves (Bret was the current WWF Champion). Vince refuses to leave an impression to the public that WCW is poaching one of his greatest talent (and champion).

5) and the infamous "screw-up" job at Survivor Series where Shawn Michael supposed to win the title from Bret via reverse pin move but the referee Earl Hebner called for the bell when Shawn puts Bret in a Sharp-shooter move.

I don't believe any wrestler got paid more than $10 million from the contract.

WWE refused to sign Lesnar because he wanted $5 million per year

Simon does make 36 to 40 mil a year on Idol. But don't compare the most popular show in the world to WWE. Besides he is co-owner of the show. Hulk, however, has been making in the 10 mil range since the 80's, according to his A&E biography. Though, some of it was endoresements and public speakings. HHH doesn't make anywhere near 50, probably 2 to 3.

Exactly. Why would you just assume every top wrestling personality would make more than Simon Cowell?He's not just a tv judge, but the one who pitched the concept of American Idol to American television stations along with his partner. I don't watch myself, but I know the show has become a ratings juggernaut that crushes the competition in its time slot and brings in a huge amount of revenue for FOX.

You really must think this man is stupid mutherfucker don't you?! He has invested his money in quite a few other avenues besides bodybuilding. You tend to forget that for several years he was signed to Weider for $300 grand, and he makes quite a bit of change on motivational speaking to troubled youth. The BSN contract is icing on the cake. Some of his vehicles are given to him for promotional venues (not the Bentley). Plus, he still has his pension & medical coverage from the Arlington Police department. Being he does his own accounting work, I'm quite sure he finds the loopholes to find tax write-offs for quite a few of his leisure toys. Bottom line, he along w/Cutler can enjoy a few of life's luxuries without worrying about going into the poor house.
