Bodybuilding is a pageant show as far as I am concerned, or the judges themselves. They could care less how you attain the physique you do, you could be mowin lawns like ronnie does for all the Judges care, and be growin like weed like Kamali in the offseason and show up on stage. As far as athleticism goes, the picture that Intenseone pretty much shows how "athletic" these "athletes" are.

If bodybuilding is a sport, then why aren't modeling, spelling B's, Dominoes, etc considered sports? All are forms of entertainment, and require certain skills.

What do bbers train?? To train implies to teach. Inducing hypertrophy and burning fat aren't "training", only a response. An athlete trains their body to do a skill better than it could before, be it faster, farther, or more acurate.

Not a bad post, training has very little to do with bb'ing compared to how much it would matter in a real sport like olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, soccer, basketball, etc. So to argue that "training" is the tie between bb'ing and athletics (sports) is jsut plain wrong.

Paul Dillet would be a good exmaple of a lazy trainer who exceled in bodybuilding. But if u go back to the original post, I was only comparing how important training is in bb'ing as compared to a real sport. The majority of the equation consists of Drugs, nutrition, and some goold old genetics

Flex Wheeler, Paul Dillet, Dexter Jackson, King Kamali (oh wait..you said won, right?) just to name a few....and anyone else who thinks that doing 6 sets per bodypart is actual training!
