Yes, it's a sport.
I want to make reference to the book: Pumping Iron. Chapter 1, defines B.B. as a sport.
Moreover, Arnold says in the movie: Pumping Iron, that: "It's the best sport in the world."
Last but no least: B.B. meets the criteria for a sport - by definition.
