You are remarkably unobservant; relative to his height & waist width, Coleman has the widest lats and greatest taper ever. DUH!

What Yates had was tremendous density, dryness, hardness & separation, which is why his back can look just as good even with a little less width and taper to a small waist than Coleman has. Yates' back was actually his only major muscle group on par with Coleman's other than triceps, which is arguable. Which back you prefer just comes down to a matter of taste.

The widest back..truly silly to suggest otherwise; Yates never had this kind of width/size & taper. I like Yates back better myself, but not because it's wider, it's not:

exactly, all i said was that ronnies back width hadnt left as much of an impression on me. When the camera is behind him and hes walking up on stage his back is unbelieveable. Its always the same pictures, always the same posts whenever someone mentions their bloody name

i responded to the comment made by titusisback.

besides, my original comment is true.

all hulkster did was post pics of coleman being compares to kris dim and by himself which doesnt really prove anything other than that coleman has a great back, which we all already knew.

Ronnie has never really faced anyone with a really wide back (other than Dillett in 1999)

Dorian too faced Dillett, but no one else with a wide back.

Which is wider is hard to tell.

But which has a more dramatic taper, well, thats easy.

oh, and I doubt Gunter and Jay have never had wider backs than Ronnie, unless you count 2005.

hell, in 2002 gunter outweighed Ronnie by about 50 pounds, and even then, he still compared to back width like this:

back in 2001, Ronnie did appear a lot wider than Dennis, but that might just be the taper differences. In terms of absolute width, its hard to say.

but dennis was nowhere near the peak he was at the 2003 Olympia, probably his career best.

it doesn't always seem like Ronnie opens it up all the way. Even then he's still wider than most

absolutely ronnie has a much better taper than dorian. ronnie's hips are narrower and his back is low and wide.

dorian also competed against kevin, and kevin's lat spread aint all that bad.

ok fucking genius, show me where i even implied that ronnie lacked back width. Hell ronnie has a bigger back than 99% of all human existance, all i said was that his back hadnt left that much of an impression on me. Youre so far up Colemans arse you should be a dildo

I think Dennis could match or maybe surpass slightly Ronnie on lat width and remember he is shorter than Ronnie .
