Fortunately, not everyone measures their success by your standards.  For you, success in life is measured by:

1.  How many pro bodybuilders you know.  (Of course, you have never competed and never will.  The average wimp on the street could whip your fat ass in a bodybuilding contest.)   To many to list and 10 times more than you if that means anything

2.  How many local bodybuilding shows you have promoted.  (Of course, you took a big hit on the Aloha Muscle Classic, but lets not go there.) More than you again.  And yes took a hit on the Aloha but at least I did it.  You have done nothing in your life.  You have to live with that fact and that you have or ever will do anything.  No name, no picture, no business on here.

3.  How many two-bit Gillette commercials and B-movies you have appeared in.  (Yeah, you looked great, baldy!)  ahaha only Gillette commercial but 44 total.  How many have you done.  NONE!  Thats what I thought.  Allot of talk form a nobody.  I am almost pretty sure I know who you are.  Just a little punk who idolizes the wrong people.  Thank god you left.  You would have been damaged for life.

Last I heard, he died a few years back.  Not sure though since I've been away for awhile.  I'm sure our friend Keith, with all his bodybuilding contacts and insider knowledge, can tell you.

I grew up with the locals in Hawaii and i experienced more racism from them than any group of people...

Im mixed black and filipino but the local hawaiians..majority were very prejudiced...by locals..im talking about the local filipinos, japanese, porteugese, ect...and the funny thing is Hawaii is a melting pot where a lot of races and cultures were intermingled due to immigration and so forth.

To me "haole" is such derogatory term just as how when I grew up in Hawaii, I was called "papolo" or "the N word" by the locals there who are also of mixed heritage but racist or prejudiced which I find very hypocritical who know nothing about me or my ethnicity.

Some locals blame the military or whites for taking away the island but many arent "pure" hawaiians but are actually there because of ancesters that were immigrants that "intermingled" with other races to become the melting pot it is.

I loved Hawaii and its people but sometimes I wonder why some "locals" are so prejudice to people who dont look like the typical Hawaii "local"

I considered myself "local" because I have mixed blood running through me but the thing I dont understand is the prejudice that some Hawaii locals have for people who are "white"/ Haole or black/papolo. I have always treated people with respect but I find it weird that some people will always judge you by the color of your skin.

"Local" racists or prejudice in Hawaii really confuses me because in actuality, Hawaii is filled with alot of minorities who should not have the right to be racist for the fact that Hawaii is a melting pot state...many of my local friends go to the "mainland" and fnd that they are the minorities and find out that they are the ones that are being treated "different"

A lot of what Keith says is true, but some items he either forgets to add, or dismisses altogether.  Steve D'amico and Jean Paul Yersick were the men who sold memberships for International Fitness prior to them closing their doors.  They along with a few other people (Odd Haugen, Adam Shaw, Tom Evensen, Steve and Elise D'Amico, Alan and Judy) formed a company called Kapiolani Fitness that brought the Gold's Gym franchise back to Oahu.  

Keith worked as promotions director for Golds until 1991, I believe.  Keith will have to clarify that.  Gold's opened Waikiki next, and right around that time Alan had his legal problems.  Judy Magnuson, Alan's ex wife is still in Honolulu doing "bounty hunting" and loans for Community Mortgage.  She seems to be doing well, and we chat when we see each other.  (I was good friends with her younger brother Alex, while growing up in Mililani)  Alan is doing well, and works for the Honolulu Advertiser as a distributor.  I won't comment on his legal issues, they are in the past.

I agree with gimmic that Alan shouldn't be typecast as a "drug dealer."  Obviously, he had legal problems, and has paid his price to society.  The name calling has gotten a little out of hand, and really isn't necessary.  Gimmic protected Alan and Judy's name, which I believe is fair and justified.  But why digress to arguing on a public forum?  If Keith needs to regale stories, that is his gig.  If they aren't totally, factually accurate, again that is his issue.  But please, don't drag down the names of people in the course of a debate.  Eugene, Steve, JP,  Curtis were all named, and some complimentary things and uncomplimentary things were being said.  No purpose for this.
