Actually, Shawns sex life might be best explained as "ball of worms".

You do the math.

Gotta say that was an entertaining episode. Like listening to a Jerry Spring show but with bodybuilders talking over each other. Only thing missing was 240 in the middle of them all. ;)

Way to go, Lee.  You are a true man of courage.

I have never been so sickened in my life by these puppets who know that Bodybuilding is about 50 years behind the times but are afraid to do anything about it.

Even though you are dieting and obviously didn't have a whole lot of energy you spoke with courage and vision.

The arguments that were levied against you were simply too pathetic to even comment on.

Stand up for what is right!

Some people act from ego (puppets) and some people act from spirit (Lee P.)

Spirit guides the great ones to do what's right, even if it's unpopular.

Lee says many of the sponsors were threatened by IFBB, not to give $ to the PDI.
Wonder why that is ::)  I guess those creeps don't have enough power in the sport of bodybuilding :-X    So much for trying to get the sport to grow. Good job IFBB ::)  The sport is really getting better ::)

I dont get it.  When are the "good ol boys" gonna understand that the IFBB is NOT the NFL or on par with any other major sport on the planet. I love bodybuilding but by comparison how many bodybuilding fans are there compared to football, soccer, baseball?  Get a fuckin clue Chick and Shawn.  The sport is steroid filled and the glory days were over 30 years ago i.e Arnold, Oliva, etc.  And with these new laws being enacted by Congress bodybuilding as we know will change or cease to exist over the next couple of years or possible sooner.  This is NOT the NFL.  Praise Lee for trying to make money while he can.  Lee is one of a couple of bodybuilders who have something to fall back on (racing).  Look at guys like Vince Taylor who has openly admitted he is out of money.  These guys struggle like hell to make the money they do make.  Muscletechs aren't everywhere.  Chick and Shawn are two company guys who are delusional in believing that being an IFBB pro alone puts food on these guys plates which has been provin overtime is not the case.  Prove me wrong.  Ronnie Coleman or Arnold does not count.  Mr Olympias even dont pull in tons of dough.  How many pro bbs have side businesses to support themselves?  Most all of them.

Thank you Bob and Lee for mentioning Getbig on the show - it was very appreciated. And thanks to Dan Solomon for providing the netwaves in hearing three of the pros - Bob, Lee and Shawn battle it out via debate, and a few interesting jabs. This was one of the most entertaining radio shows yet...

Obviously, you missed the point of the analogy...that you can't play for 2 different teams, or federations, etc....

The other point you missed, was that many bodybuilders make a nice living from being a IFBB pro bodybuilder...Lee included. Prize money, guest posings, seminars, appearances, supp company contracts, etc...can all be traced back to exposure, competing in the IFBB...that was the point.

Ok you have a point but how many of all IFBB pros make actual prize money (not the 1000 bucks for placing last at the Olympia)?  How many get an opportunity to guest pose?  How many get supplement contracts? Im talking about an overall number.  You would know better than I would obviously. And you have mentioned on this board before about how you pros have to fly yourselves out to shows.  And what about health insurance? Out of 100 IFBB pros how many would you say make a lucrative living as an IFBB pro?  I think Lee even said that he doesnt do many guest posings and most of his money comes from his supplement deals.  And you obviously have to be a pretty good bodybuilder to get that sort of deal to begin with.  Do you see Ken Jones racking up hundreds of thousands of dollars as an IFBB pro.  Heck no.  All I am saying Chick is that this sport is obviously not an easy one to make money in.  I bet an NFL 6th round pick makes more on average than a mid level IFBB pro. Would you agree?

Few make a living from prize money alone...it's in conjunction with thee other things I mentioned.

Everyone knows this as they enter the IFBB...this sport is based on performance, much like aany other sport.....the best make the big bucks...the middle guys make a good living, the rest fall by the wayside. The entertainment business is no diffferent, come to think of it...where in lif does this NOT apply?

Health insurance is available to any and all IFBB pro's, at a group rate.

It's all reletive as to how much money a 6th round draft pick makes vs a pro bodybuilder...the guys at the top are making 100's of millions, so comparably...they aint making shit. The NFL is not in the same leeague as the IFBB...they have a huge fan base, TV revenue, merchandise, etc.

The "lower ranked" bodybuilders would fare no better in another federation, than they do in the IFBB...there has to be a  fan base thats willing to spend their money in support...ain't happening with a sub-par product/ organization.

Tiger Woods plays golf for the PGA, right?  yet he is free to play in anycharity events, and private events, any damn event he pleases, to earn a buck.

Bowling - guys play for the PGA, but are free to play for money anytime they wish.  After all, they are not salaried- they are guys who show up to play for a chance at some money.

Most individual sports who do not pay contracts are like this.  IFBB's monopoly on the sport has allowed them to force guys to sign non-compete clauses.

Also, Lee spanked you tonight, Bob.  You sounded pretty angry up there.

Maybe you're right but for Lee and MAYBE some other guys there is opportunity elsewhere like you said NABBA WABBA and so forth.  With Congress coming over the horizon you, the IFBB, PDI, and whoever else are on alert.  And you cant bullshit me and anyone else into believing that all these pros have lifestyles that will support them outside the sport.  I give you an example Bob Sapp.  NFL washout turned Japanese phenom.  NFL pros can make a lot of money over there careers as roleplayers and retire wealthy and live a good financially stable life as can baseball players.  Not all these pros go to hollywood, personal train, etc.  Some these guys eat breathe and sleep bodybuilding and all that encompass it.  Cant all be Jay Cutler or Bob Chick.  Oh and we agree that the IFBB is not in the same league as the NFL.  Hell even WWE for that matter which is a shame

HMMMMM

Williams, who is playing in the CFL while serving an NFL suspension, underwent surgery late Sunday night to repair a fracture to his left forearm. Williams was hurt in Toronto's 26-23 win in Saskatchewan on Saturday night.

Williams, 29, joined the Argos in May after being suspended for the entire 2006 season by the NFL for a fourth violation of the league's substance abuse policy. Toronto signed Williams to a one-year deal after first getting permission from the Miami Dolphins, to whom Williams remains under contract for two more years.

The injury prompted speculation that the Dolphins would step in and try to have Williams' CFL tenure cut short. But Argos president Keith Pelley said he expects Williams to return to Toronto's lineup this season after sitting out four to six weeks to let the arm heal.

"We're very confident that Ricky will be back, it's just a matter of when," Pelley said. "That decision, however, will be made by Michael (Argos coach Mike Clemons) and his staff.

"I've not spoken to anyone with the Dolphins but their medical people have talked to our medical people about Ricky's injury."

"We're very supportive of Ricky and the season that he is having in Canada," Dolphins coach Nick Saban said in a statement Monday. "Hopefully he will have a speedy recovery, and we feel certain this setback will not affect his future as a football player."

Oh and Williams could easily attend training camp while under suspension by the NFL but his team allowed him to play it out in canada believing he could make himself more money and keep in shape and the competitive edge.
