impossible.  It would have to be a skeleton.  It's hard enough keeping 3-4 for a day not 0 though.

Our bodies require a certain amount of "essential fat" in order to stay alive.  For men its on the order of 2-4%; women, 10-12%.  A contest ready "ripped" BB will be at around 5-6%.

While doing the 93 Olympia commentary, Jim Quinn had a 0.0% bodyfat reading taken, the lowest ever recorded, apparently.

This is quite possibly the least funny thing on this site now. 

It's so over used that it may actually become funny again soon, like bell bottoms.

Billy Smith did the skinfold measurements on flex at Golds Venice a week before the 93 O and Jim Quinn reported it at the O during the broadcast, can't you guys get your stories straight.

I believe it was in the vicinity of 0.00000000000000001% and -0.00000000000000001%, you should ask davidpaul he seems to have read up on this in a few other threads :)

The usaly got to 3.5% via caliper reading for my shows !!! and I was always seen to be as the leanest in the show !!! I had a reputation for this !!!

Most of our clients acheive usally around 4.5 to 5 % avg,in their readings for there shows .

Chuck Norris's bodyfat grows from the inside of the skelaton and can only be measure by negative's....He was close to -3% bodyfat back in 87'....Jim Quinn did the test so its legit...

I think that the measurements you get from skin fold tests and dunk tanks simply measure your surface body fat. I don't think that there is a way out there to accurately measure the total body fat %. As far as Flex's 0% body fat measurement is concerned all that could possibly be accurate about that is he was the lowest tested compared to others.

any one that get down to 3% and it IS possible,,,never do any damage and place bad because he's on the verge of death,,muscles look horrible at this bf%.

most are 4-5% with tons of muscle mass and tight waist,, that give the illusion of being 3-4%

under 3% = an hour or so from death

Correction, Ronnie claimed that they kept getting negative numbers for him via hydrostatic weighing.  Then "they used the calipers, and got a number finally." 



This could be true, as all measures of bodyfat are based on bone density averages.  It's pretty reasonable to assume that pros have higher bone density after years of heavy lifting, high body weight, and growth hormone abuse. 
So, they very well may measure 3% or lower, but they aren't REALLY 3% or lower.
