Intersting, then why is called the side chest and not the"everything but back and abs pose".  Just wondering.  Esepcially when this pose has been around longer than Ronnie is old, and Arnold was famous for it, but all these years he has been doing it wrong.  I don't understand that.

His points are perfectly valid.

Yes arnolds is initially impressive but on closer inspection you'll see his flaws such as underdevloped (relative to chest) deltoids and poor hamstring development.

Who ever said arnold was doing it wrong? You've completely jumped the gun.

All the guy  was saying was that despite the name of the pose, the chest muscle isnt the only muscle on show.

This is obvious so why are you contesting it.

His post is dumb. You have compare Arnold to others from his era. Saying, "Arnold has one of the worst side-chest ever" is retarded. Compared to his contemporaries he was the greatest. He didn't have Ronnie Coleman's delts, and neither did anyone else during that era. His chest alone, dwarfs modern bodybuilders.

Then you must be blind then.

Ronnies calves from the side aren't too shabby as shown by the side chest pic from 2000. You can see right?

Child like reasoning there onlyme. I didnt expect that from you.

the side chest has morphed away from what it was originally intended to do.  It was supposed to not only show the size and quality of the pecs but also the depth of the individuals rib cage, that's why arnolds looks so much different than the way we see it today.  No one spends time expanding thier rib cage and no one can do the vacum right to hit the pose the way arnold hit it.  Shawn Ray had an awsome side chest.

Yo, Big Poppa - I don't know if you have that book but if you do, is it any good?  ???

I've been wanting to get it.

sorry Slick - I don't have it. Personally I'd buy Anabolics 2006 first (which i haven't done yet either . . .)

MD has a column where they have a chapter from the book each month. They talked about the mandatories a couple months ago.
