Well, number one - IT IS HARD TO JUDGE THE BODYBUILDING SHOW...and I said that many times...
Also, there are very good judges in the IFBB - no question about it.
Many times I ask Jim Manion and USUALLY HE IS RIGHT ON THE MONEY - seeing the contest exactly as I do (or as it should be judged...).
Also Big Steve is very good judge who definitely knows EXACTLY what he is looking for...His wife Bev is another very good example...
And I am sure there are many others ...
Now, if you ask Jim or Big Steve about how they saw or judged the show - they would have NO PROBLEM telling you (and everybody else) how they placed you and how they judged.
Why?
Because they stand behind their decisions.
I like to hear Jim when he gives analysis of certain competitors - and I was extremely happy to realize that Jim actually looks for all the little details and pretty much notices EVERYTHING!
Big Steve is probably the best in expressing himself "to the point"!
I remember when Markus asked him what was wrong with him in one of the shows...Steve just looked at him and told him: "you are a fat f..k"...
He doesn't go with "cherry on the top" - saying: you are somewhat soft...holding water...a bit off...instead he gets to the point...
But, how many other judges would do that.
Many, many - MANY judges would simply smile and shrug the shoulders when asked how was possible for someone to place ahead of someone else...
They usually give you that "I know what you are saying...but you know how it goes" smile...
I would have a suggestion - I know that MANY (ALL

) people from our industry read bodybuilding boards - and they would read what we say on these pages (getbig) plus many others...
Starting with Montreal judging panel - let's call each and every judge and ask them to put in writing their placings in each round and their reasons for placing the competitors the way they did.
If you really think about it - they should have no problem stating publicly how they've judged...
That was there opinion and we would just like to comprehend how and why they make their decisions...
If we understand them and we know what they are looking for - maybe we would all agree with them and realize that (maybe

) stomach sticking out in front of the chest is a good thing...and 45 inch waistline is something that we should all aim for..
