What's so hard to find?

http://www.mrolympia.com/schedule.htm

The other hours will be coverage from the expo, fit model search and other goings on during the weekend.

Its all over the news how sites like "Youtube" are all the rage.  Gonna be stealing from T.V. veiwers in the here and now.
Times are changing.....I see live webcasts as the next step.

But i feel the same as showstoppa said.  "The olympia is dead to me"  LOL!!

This is gayer than calling just to say hi.

Best "gayer than" quote ever! Kudos.

Is the quality going to be good? If I pay twenty odd dollars and the quality is crap, I will be pretty pissed.

I am referring to the webcast btw, I have resigned myself to the fact that the production will be crap like last year.

My store took me about 3 years to develop...and I'm still adding features.

All told, it's a lost leader for me. bleh.

And it generally takes a couple week for these guys using my store to put it all together. Art, products, text, site integration, etc. And they usually do some sort of funky customization to the store itself to work with the specifics of the company (oddball pricing or shipping methods, etc).

No direspect..but website designers are the garbage of programers.
They are lucky idiots actualy pay good money for it.

(My brother is a firmware/embeded programer....so no Im not talking without knowing shit.)

Im sorry but i think taken the O off of Pay per view and putting it on web cast only is a step back wards FLEX.....maybe if you guys had gave that option to those who couldnt get payper view it would be great but webcasting  ??? ONLY This is a history making event Ronnie Coleman going for the record and I just cant see my self sitting in front of my computer witnessing such an event for the same price i could have watch it for on my TV in the comfort of my living room at not my Home office. Im very dissapointed in this. Could you give any reason why pay per view is not offered for such a historical event in Bodybuilding. ??? :-[
you will be able to see Ronnie win in it's full glory when the dvd becomes available  ::)

Then we both agree.

I'm not a website designer. I'm a developer (BS in Computer Science). Doing high-end database, CMS, Portal, eCommerce development. In the past, I've done my fair share of C/C++ dev, writing applications for modems (yeah, way past), firmware for cc boxes, I wrote my own compiler (with C++ and Assembler) -- it only complied into .com files, but it used my own fun-fun language...a uucp gateway, more...

Many designers piss me off more than anything. I had one designer (I wont' say her name, let's just call her "bitch") call me bout 2 weeks ago. She was doing the SEO work for her client who had purchased my eCommerce software. According to her, she had 14 years of SEO experience (which is a flat-out lie. I've been doing inet dev since '93 and back then there WAS NO fucken SEO). She wanted to know how to do SEO with my software. Uh...wtf? I was like, isn't that your fucken job you client-raping bitch? She also asked if my software would work on her Mac...I'm like, fucken-a, if you're such the hot inet developer, you tell me! Does it work? omg.

I was nice w/ her at first, but then it kinda went downhill...

However, I'd like to say I have lots of designer friends whom I have much respect for. Some of these guys do know their shit: interface design, usability, marketing, pshop, flash, etc. I outsource those things to these guys.

Now that sounds better :)

As far as I know there are only 2 real jobs at programing that require some inteligance.
High end, algorithem development and low end hardware programing.

Everything in between is just integrating already complete pieces of software togther.

I guess its the engineer in me that dont like half assing like that :)

EE for the win :P :D

I finally got off my ass and figured out how to hook a computer up to a tv, and then activated a creditcard i had lyin around..

IM GONNA SEE IT.

yay, i was so sure i'd miss it.

anyways, honestly 21 bucks aint too much, i know i spend that much on tuna every few weeks:P

Yeah, neither me nor any of my developer friends use any fluffy WYSIWYG VB editors, Dreamweaver or crap like that.

I have a lot of game programmer friends (aka. cutting edge). In fact one of them is coming with me to the Olympia -- he owns one of the best cell phone game companies (made all the MLB games, Tony Hawk games, more) and is a monster programmer. They're working on one of the first software rendered 3D cell phone games (the next MLB game)...all code they hand-wrote.

Nice,I got a friend that is a partner in a small company that make cell phone games too.
My friend vs yours...bring it on!  ;D LOL

I was wondering that too. I don't see that option on the site anymore though.
