Adions brought up in another post that it is the sale of powders and snakeoil supplements that keeps this industry alive - although powders are for real, the "snakeoil" supplements are the ones which claim to elicit some type of anabolic effect similar to steroids.  If it ever came out that the only "trick" to bodybuilding is consistency in terms of training intensity and good nutrition, the industry would collapse.  While supplements add a few % to the picture, they do not add close to what steroids do, but supplement companies play on naivety of customers to get them to think so.  My point is that this is what keeps our industry going since it couldn't exist without money.  The economy in North America would collapse if not for impulse shopping and playing on the psychology of the consumer.  It's sad to say it, but what keeps the economy strong is manipulation to a certain degree - that said, I can't really hold it against those in the industry who do it.  I don't think bodybuilding would exist without it.

So what can we do to promote bodybuilding in a positive and truthful way?  I think the rise in pro videos over the past few years has been a great thing to get a few extra bucks in the hands of every pro - any well produced video should get a pro at least an extra $10,000 a year.  Find him a few more means to get that much money and a pro can have a decent living.  It's hard to tell whether bodybuilding has been gaining or losing popularity since it has always been a niche industry.  I think pros like Gunter and Mark Dugdale also help to put a face in bodybuilding.

LOL

Matt, a more pertinant question, would be to ask: how has bodybuilding ever helped you?

I mean, Gunther probably wouldnt even piss on you if you were on fire, and as for Cormier? well, like he could give a shit about anything outside of lining up his next hot karl customer

Nope, bollocks to bodybuilding

The Videos are even more worthless than the supplements are.

I have ways to save the industry in which I will elaborate later on.

you should bring out a video, I wouldn't buy it, but you should bring one out.

You could have footage of you buying icecream, and say to the camera how people are syaing you are huge like in Ruhl's video.

You could include a big cardboard cutout of Jesseabeeale, as she doesnt really exist.

Lol, Matt the reason mainstream America is not enamored with bodybuilding is because of the drug use. Ask the average person on the street what's the first thing that comes to mind when you say "competitive bodybuilder" and the reply is steroids. The ONLY way to get bodybuilding to be accepted to future America is to have it as a course in highschool. No drugs just good old sound nutrition classes and basic training. Highschool kids want to be fit and well built whether it's a guy or a girl, and maybe this will give some overweight or obese students a chance to learn how to live a better lifestyle.
When I was in junior highschool, it was a pre-requisite to take a weight lifting class and even a physical fitness test. You don't see that anymore and the parents of these lazy ass kids are complaining to the schools that their children should not have to be subjected to physical challenges for fear of injury or psychological stress.  ::)

have you seen the length on Daddywaddys cock?

Woten, are you saying that Cormier cares as much about me as a sweaty swimming pool full of old mincers, each with a penchant for washing 'meaty treats' just prior to guzzling down a hot mouthful of steaming freshly 'rinsed' protein?
Cormier is the type of guy that gets discovered by a shop owner loading up his asshole with odd shaped items of confectionery (lumpy choc raisin type affairs, stuffed about two feet deep inside his hole, all the way up to the hilt of each bar, to the point where chocolate is dripping - cum like - down to his ankles)

When the shop keeper asks: 'what are you doing', Cormier replies: 'oh I'm not a fag, I'm just running some insulin and G.H, and these tablets are sugar suppositories, at which point, the shopkeeper says: 'sir, we are a sweet shop, not a chemist, I'm calling the police you filthy shit stained golly'

Hhahahahahahaha

You could have a class called "Adions 101", all about the the great Adions theory on nutrition.

We can't.  It's been a cult sport the whole time, and it always will be.  You will NEVER see an IFBB pro in a Nike ad unless it's making fun of him.  The general public cannot relate to or accept the extremes of pro BBing.
