A record 140+ competitors came to the 2010 NPC West Coast Classic in El Monte, California, and it was a great contest indeed, with some tough competitions. For the Men’s bodybuilding, Eli Blahut beat Rowdy Rusconi for the overall title. In Figure, Darice Castro easily won the overall, while in Bikini, Khay Rosemond dominated. Congratulations to Roelly Winklaar to surprising many and coming onto the stage in the best shape of his life, winning the 2010 New York Pro Men’s Bodybuilding contest. Cheryl Brown continued her incredible run, and won her first IFBB pro figure contest here in Kentucky. Last week, she was second at the Sacramento Pro Figure. Julie Ann Kulla, which placed 4th last week (via a tie-breaker with Huong Arcinas) took 2nd place, and qualified for the 2010 IFBB Figure Olympia. Wow! What a great contest! With heavily favorite David Henry coming into this show to repeat, Kevin English stole the thunder by outmuscleling David to become the new best 202lbs and under bodybuilder in the world. With the loud standing ovation, and everyone in the Orleans Arena on their feat, we all watched history being made as Jay Cutler came back from his second place finish to retake the title, and win his third Mr. Olympia! Wow! But in another surprise, Branch Warren took the second place finish over a surprised and stunned Dexter Jackson by ONE point. The battle for 4th and 5th place continued with Kai beating Phil Heath by a ONE point marging too.
