Some people run businesses and have employees, bills and customers. Like I do. And as business slows down people lose their jobs. And state unemployment offices don't respond very quickly so a lot of people are going broke.

I guess that's kind of  a desperate need.

This doesn't apply to every business or person out there, but we had over a decade of immense economic prosperity, people are walking around with a $300 jacket on, $200 shoes,  a $700 phone in their pocket, another sitting in a drawer at home, eating out every other day, etc etc. Yet these people didn't manage to have a bit of money saved to see them through a rainy day?

Those who are generally financially responsible and got caught out at an inopportune moment have my sympathy, but my general feeling towards the majority is fuck them. It's just a modern day version of Darwinism in action

In cardiovascular shape you would not believe. One was diagnosed a month and a half  ago with Covid after he returned from California. He went into the hospital after getting a bad cough and ended up getting over it in 7 days.

Of course turning 60 isn't going to trigger a change in your immune system. I was being snide. It just seems like a lot there's a lot of conversation that would lead one to believe once everyone hits a certain age their body turns into crap. That's crap. 1) How many children should starve in order to make you feel safe?
2) How many families must go bankrupt in order to make you feel safe?

Each time you whine and complain about keeping the country shut down, remember what it's costing OTHER people for you to sit in your house sucking at the teat of CNN, swallowing the panic narrative, and hoarding toilet paper.

Also, remember this - if the TV news had never told you to be afraid of this virus, you wouldn't have. You'd have never given it a thought, you'd have gone about your life as usual along with everyone else. You'd likely have never known there was a virus at all, that this was just another typical flu season. In NYC, coming into March, there was no talk of Corona. The big story was a plastic bag ban. Only after word came down about federal funds becoming available did politicians start giving a shit.

The Mayor kept going to his gym (what he did there, I have no idea. He looks like shit) until the day before it closed.
