Interesting point on the running technique, I hadn't considered that.

Sunday was a 13 mile run with 1,900 feet of climbing at 8 mins per mile pace. Thanks google  ;D

Holy crap that's great

Went to the Yankee game last night.stood in line for 20 min to get a $12.00 beer and snacks.
Woman who took my order was overworked with the crowd but still was nice to everyone and had a smile so I gave her a $5 tip.
Walked to my seat and proceeded to spill my beer and my girls drink :-\

...went back to the same lady and she refilled them for no charge..I guess karma does work sometimes.

The race Calvin did was a a half mile and the obstacle was carrying a 2x4 50ft.

The 60 year old should be fine.

Too much cardio lowers your test levels.

Look it up.

Actually, doing cardio has no substantiated positive effect on lifespan.

It's good for building endurance though if needed in your sport.

If the zombies are coming and you can't move 1 mile fast or  5 miles with ease, it sure does.

Outside of that, from personal experience, all the dieting and statins in the world didn't budge my good cholesterol.

Once I started running, it doubled.

Cardio lowers triglyceride levels too.

Unfortunately, there is no substantiated science about cholesterol levels and longevity.

Yes, am well aware about all that, and the confusion and conflicting data everywhere.

I take a simplistic view......running helps me feel better, so I do it in moderation.

Quality of life.

Yup.

But, it IS maddening.

For years, high cholestorol was "terrible"....now it's not, or is it, or is it ratios, trigs, etc......sat fat bad or not, carbs bad, or not...........never stops.

So, I try to not eat processed shit, but do occasionally.  I mix in fruits and vegetables with good sourced meat for the most part. But I'm always in a limbo state.

BUT what I should do is totally lean out, shed the fat, and build up again.
