Why isn't detroit complaining about their D letting Dallas score on the drive afterwards?

Because that does not fit in with the conspiracy theory that Dallas brought the game.

Remember, conspiracy theorists only use data that support their theory, and discredits all evidence that disproves their theory.

Hate politicians and their association with billionaires. Goes to show you who they watch out for.  not the poor old average joe.  pretty sure when Jerry has an issue he can call Fat Christie directly but when a city workers has an urgent matter he gets on hold with the secretary for 3 hours.

Oh I know that some analysts and board posters on NFL.com and other media sites had some outraged posters, but no one on this board is LOL.

I agree with you that it's bizarre to have a call reversed like that.  I personally have never witnessed an incident like that I can recall nor could anyone I watched the game with....all Cowboys fans.   :D

Although in the post game interview Jim Caldwell stated the following about the reversed call:

“It was not good enough,” he said. “I’m gonna leave it at that. I’m not gonna sit up here and act like that was the call that made the difference in the game. We still had our chances.”

He went on to say that they saw a reversal of a call earlier in the season against New Orleans.  So it's definitely rare, but it does happen.  Now did the officials "fumble" the explanation piece?  Absolutely.  Nobody knew what was going on.....it was not good execution at all.

All that said, did it cost the Lions the game?  Detroit fans and Cowboy haters will of course say yes.  The reality....no.  Detroit's lack of any effective play in the 3rd and half of the 4th was of far more concern.  Yes, Dallas got the ball back, but based on Dallas' play did that guarantee them 6?  No way.  Dallas was pretty garbage.....mediocre at best.....until the 4th.  They struggled all day long to scrape together that win.

In Green Bay, they gotta be at the top of their game.  Play like they had against the Lions and the Packers will beat em 40-7.

Jason Garrett going for the 4th and 6..what in the world happened to the Jason Garrett that we have come to know on that call??  :D

I had to get up about from my chair to about standing a foot from the television on that one.

It was a gutsy call but it really did just seem right at the time.

Green Bay isn't beating dallas 40-7 ::)

Detriots def is like 2nd in the league and thier run def is number 1 overall

The problem with Green Bay is thier high power offense but who knows how Rodgers calf injury will affect him

The jersey hold happened before anything.  That was text book PI, or defensive holding if you want to believe what you said.  Offensive PI is a complete stretch.

Plus, the other ref's explanation for overturning the call that you posted said the call was reversed since contact was "minimal".  Not because there were multiple offenses from both sides.

VP of NFL Officiating  weighs in

Quote
Blandino told PFT's Mike Florio (via Michael David Smith) that pass interference was a "close call that could have gone either way," but Cowboys linebacker Anthony Hitchens definitely committed defensive holding against Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew.

"There is a jersey grab," Blandino said. "And when you see the jersey grab before the ball is thrown, that's defensive holding. So had the officials recognized that, we should have had a foul down for that infraction."

But what about Pettigrew making contact with Hitchens' facemask early in the route?

Blandino said there wasn't enough there to warrant a flag. "I felt there was minimal contact," he said.

What was John Madden's famous quote on holding?

"You can pretty much call it on every play"

That same exact play happens all the time without being called.

Replace Stafford with Romo in that situation with a couple time outs and just under 3 minutes on the clock and he's putting the ball in the end zone.

Stafford is a lazy fat fuck.  Imagine what that offense with Calvin would do with a top notch QB.

You are thinking of the ruling that gave the greenlight for gay marriage in the NFL.
