Ok, i realise that was a loaded question. My fault. Heres a better question, are they going to give josh a long term deal.?
I think they have a great shot but from a competitive stand point it's not a lock by any stretch. Josh certainly has alot of comfort in DFW, and why wouldn't he? His fans and teammates obviously adore him. It's been said that him and Ron Washington will sit together alone often and discuss their past drug issues and how they are coping and getting by. I am sure this brings Josh alot of comfort too, he has alot of respect for his coach I would assume.
My gut feeling is that, in the end, he will not accept a "hometown discount" unless the money is pretty negligible. His wife seems to be very religious and seems to have an interest in using her resources to help others. She has been asked about the contract situation and it looks like the money and how she can use it to help others in need will weigh extremely heavy in this whole process. Basically I read that as whoever brings the most money to the table will probably end up landing Hamilton's next contract.
